Hi Lord Ash Midnight! :)
Sorry, but there isn't a Daz3D chat right now. I don't know if there will be one in the future. There are some great help forums set up, though. Here is the main forum index. If you scroll down to the software of choice, or try the new users forum, you should be able to get help you need:

Hope this helps you! Good Luck! :)
Thanks Jasmine. Ive been around for awhile, like I have the whole free archive backed up somewhere and a copy of Daz Studio BETA, the original beta on disk. I just miss the chat, it was a really good place. I hope they bring it back :/
necromancing spirits heed my cry!!!
did we ever get a chat rebuilt?
No it hasn't been rebuilt and is unlikely to be rebuilt afaik.
You could always do what others have done and start your own chat group, using Skype or something similar.
thats what Im thinking
I made a channel on freenode
#daz3d
I welcome all you dazzers to come join the fun. there are even webclients so you can chat from the browser.
anyway, Ill make a new thread in a day or so with more details about the irc chat on freenode, Im still getting used to the controls
I learned a ton in daz chat, Valandar was a huge help with learning to used Sub-D modeling, and all my friends from there, I miss you guys!
I think its a great resource, guess we the community need to do it since daz has other stuff going on. I guess it used a bit of bandwidth they need for other stuff, so no worries.
I have a feeling that DAZ 3D will not be happy of you set up a chat room called Daz 3d
why not? its a channel for users of daz3d software and content?
have things changed so much in the last year? this used to be a place full of creativity and art and community. seems today everyone is scared of legalese and hiding behind corners. its very sad. Its like saying I couldn't have a chatroom called Marvel, that was for fans of their comics, or a chat room called star trek, for people who like the shows... are you just sowing Fear Uncertainty and Doubt? or are things so bad here lately this is actually a concern?
I think I see the problem that would concern DAZ. They would have no idea what the chat room is actually about and what actually goes on in it. They would not have the right to moderate it if it was operated by someone else. In other words, a person may have Marvel attached to a site name, but the site is actually a site discussing marvelous pornography.
Something more like Daz3D Enthusiasts would be better suited. Adding Enthusiasts gives the impression that it may not be ran by Daz3D without making it look like it's an official channel.
Which one do you think is less likely to get you sued: Microsoft.org, or MicrosoftUsers.org?
Im thoroughly disgusted at this point. If this is the direction daz has gone, they have lost vision, and IIl seek elsewhere.
I'm not sure what you mean?
