Transfer Genesis Character to Genesis X
I created a character with Genesis base model. I would like to move the character into Genesis 2 or 3.
I have looked at The Genesis Generation X2 product, and thought that would do it but after FINALLY locating the manual I can now see that it is for transfering from POSER to DAZ. Not from one character model to another.
Why is this so hard? Where is some good documentation on how all this stuff works. When I do find a link all I seem to get is 404 pages, and that's no help at all.
I am still learing how some of this stuff works and would appreciate any response to keep in mind your talking to a 6 year old, not a genisus that knows all the ins and outs of this software and how to use it.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

With the Genesis Generation X2 PlugIn you can transfer Characters and Morphs from the Generation4 Figures (=Victoria4 / Michael4 / Kids4) to the Genesis1 Figure: http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2
There is the official documentation by Dimension3D: http://d3d.sesseler.de/store/dazscript/genx/GenX2.pdf
As far as I can tell, it is DAZ Studio only and has nothing to do with Poser. There are different AddOns available to expand the transfer line. If you would like to expand from Genesis1 to Genesis2 this AddOn is required: http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-2
For transfering a Genesis1 Character to Genesis2, there is an easy to follow GenX2-Tutorial: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1060726/#Comment_1060726
If you are interested in the opposite direction from Genesis2 to Genesis1, take a look at this discussion in the New Users Forum: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/74638/genx-converting-g2-to-g1
If you need additional help, there is the official GenX2 discussion: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24079/genx2-and-genesis-2-addon-released-upgrade-ends-soon-commercial/p1
And there is also the alternative method of transfer without GenX but this will work with Genesis3 too: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24093/transferring-morphs-from-genesis-to-g2m-g2f-and-from-g2m-g2f-to-genesis-now-with-clones/p1
Thank you.
