How to make Plane transparent while using an animated texture

I'm trying to make an animated campfire.

I bought the Animated Textures Script Pro, and have a working animation for a campfire, made by creating a small plane over some log props. The animation works, but where it should be transparent, it now looks white.

The trouble is the plane shows up in the render as white where it should be invisible. I only want the texture to show up.

If I turn off visibility of the plane, obviously I no longer see my texture being animated on it. If I change the opacity of the plane it also makes the texture on it dissapear.

Is there any way to have a plane take on the properties of the texture? Or make a plane transparent, while still displaying the applied texture?

It seems I can only get this animated texture thing to look right if the whole plane is utilized, like a TV screen, or orb.
