Duplicate Formulas Found?

This keeps coming up for the Genesis 3 Female when I try to load her. She loads just fine...but I don't want it to affect any content creation. What causes it and how can I get rid of it? LOL

Look in your Daz Studio log file. It will tell you what item is causing the problem. If it is a morph or property you created yourself, try making a small change, like changing the color of the slider and resave the morph. That has corrected the issue for me when it occurred on properties I created.

That sure beats hand editing out the duplicates from the duf...

If it's one from the store, then file a Customer Service ticket.

I wouldn't even know how to edit a duf file to do that. I don't even know what a duplicate formual is. blush I just picked up this tip from an old forum post after I started having the problem. It worked like a charm for me.

Here's a short snippet of a morph that I ended up making that has duplicate formulas...

    {"output" : "hip:/data/DAZ%203D/Genesis%203/Female/Genesis3Female.dsf#hip?center_point/x","operations" : [	{ "op" : "push", "url" : "Genesis3Female:#Brianna?value" },	{ "op" : "push", "val" : -3.620371e-06 },	{ "op" : "mult" }	]},{"output" : "hip:/data/DAZ%203D/Genesis%203/Female/Genesis3Female.dsf#hip?center_point/x","operations" : [ { "op" : "push", "url" : "Genesis3Female:#Brianna?value" }, { "op" : "push", "val" : -0.000471088 }, { "op" : "mult" } ]},

Notice that there are 2 sets of values for the hip X center point...that's what it's all about.

Of course trying to edit that out for every node is a bit of a chore...but a lot of the time it isn't everything.  The log will tell you what is affected.

If you edit by hand, how do you resolve the two different values for the push val?

    That's the question...

Basically, you pick one set and go with it for all of them.  From what I've seen looking into it, instead of updating when resaving/editing the second set gets written.  It's easiest to pick when there is little change in the value.  You could also add the two values together...

But more often than not, if it's more than a couple items it's not worth editing.  On some of the ones that have ended up with a large number, I found it was just easier to scrap the morph and start over (reimport, etc).

Islandgirl : Post the error from the log file. tham it should be easy to find out the guilty product/morph

Any news on when your Poseset will hit the store?
