Shader Room Texture Map Mouseover Problem
When I had C 8.5 Pro on my Dell 64bit with a logitech wireless mouse, I could hover over the filename of the texture map in the shader tree and it showed its location. On my new beast ASUS from PC Specialist, this does not happen. Is this a cpu issue? I do not have Car on the Dell any longer.
I switched mice and no difference (bugger, that would have been the answer). Normal setup is wireless on Dell and wired on ASUS (both trackballs)
Does anyone else have, or ever had this issue? It's very inconvenient as I am trying to mend/adjust testure paths from projects from one machine/external drive to the other without having to do a search every time. If I am making custom textures, I think in future I will have to put some kind of flag in the filename so I know where it lives.
No rush... studies not done and RL has become seriously difficult. But am trying to spend some time with Carrara before I forget how to use it at all.

Hi Silene :}
Check your Preferences,.(File / Preferences)
Under General, you should have "Show Tool Tips" enabled .. pics.
Hope it helps :)
I also have this problem sometime and the option "Show tool Tips" is enabled in my preferences.
Sometime it shows the picture's name and the dimensions, sometime, the dimensions only.
One think is shure, when that come from a regular runtime, that work (for me).
I remember we spoke about that in a thread, but I don't remember where.
Thanks, Andy.,... Tool Tips did it for me. I would not have even thought of that. I thought tool tips was where you get a pop up message each time you open Carrara. Wow... thank you, you have saved me buckets of time.
Dudu... I wonder why that does not work for you? You use Pro C 8.5? My project files are on a network drive so if I lose my network (and it happens) I wonder if I will lose the mouseover. Will have to wait and see. I tried to search the forum as I also remember this, and it might have been me who asked before, not sure. Hope you find a solution as this is so handy.
Silene
ETA: Dudu, it should always have the file NAME, it's the PATH/DIRECTORY I wanted on mouseover. I have not had missing name or size info problems. Hope that is more clear.
