The following steps are stolen from an older forum thread, but I could not find the original link:

Here's the steps for making text for OBJ export in Hex:

    1) Click the Text 3D icon and set tesselation to 3 and bevel to concave.

    2) Enter text and validate.

    3) Click the Average Weld icon and validate. This makes the text one object from seperate objects.

    4) Click the Triangulate n-gons icon.

    5) Then smooth by hitting PageUp one time (optional).

It might help if you post a pic as well... sometimes Hex has a problem with text, but it seems to vary with different fonts... some are ok, some are screwed up... but even if screwed up, there are some workarounds... so let us see what your problem is with a pic...

The text in my sig was done in Hex... but I had to help it along a little on one of the letters....
