How do I create a figure in Daz after I've imported my geometry?

Thx

DAZ Studio, I assume? Which version? Is this an item you've modelled yourself? Is it clothing (or hair) for an existing figure, or a new stand-alone item?

I think blondie's tutorial would be a good start !

I'm using version 4.5 and will be importing obj or poser scene files primarily. I'd like to use dae, bvh or fbx as well.
Also trying to fix my setup so that when I use Daz it points to my Poser Runtime folder for both Poser and Daz Studio.

    Thoughts?

Yes textures are stored in the runtime for both easier to install.
Despite the tutorial by Blondie excellent as it is. it's the hard way of doing it you're better rigging it the old way with the deform spheres them converting it into a weight map version after that, the conversion is a one click operation, then you can tweak the weight maps after that if needed. But that's my way and may not suit you.
