DAZ 4.9 update Mess, cant even use like this

I went to install some new Daz stuff I purchased and the install manager said it had to update DAZ Studio. Now it looks like an unusable mess when I open it! A bunch of cut off words and stuff. I finally was able to open a character I had beeen working on but it couldnt find something (which I didnt move). So all the money I spent on DAZ materials I guess I cant use now? Anyone else have this issue?

Your issue sounds like an anomaly rather than the standard that the rest of us are seeing. Perhaps a screen shot of what your seeing will help people help put it back as it was.

If the text is too large, it sounds like the fix for large monitors is making things worse for you.  Right-click on the icon you use to launch DS and choose Properties.  On the Compatibility tab, check the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings>"

Thanks for the response Fix and Khory, I don't think thats it. I tried the fix and it didnt work. The text isnt too big, just messed up. Here is a screenshot on my website. Thanks.

Ah, that's what happens when DS is still running when you try to update.  Close DS and check Task Manager to make sure it's finished its cleanup, then uninstall and reinstall with DIM.

Downloaded Daz 3d. Got the installer and chose items to download. Have quite a few, but the only exe file I have is the installer (download manager) where is the daz exe (the program itself)?

You can install through the Install manager (install DS, then any plug-ins) or you can download a stand-alone isntaller from your Account>Product Library page. The beta is available only through the Install Manager however.
