Hair auto fitting...

Hello, I know its been a while sense I been here, but I'm hopeful that yuns can help me out.

Ok, so I have a character thats going to be an elf when I finish her, BUT I'm riunning into a snag. everytime i load in a hair it autofits itself around her ears in a really strage/unnatural way. i just want the hair to fit her head normally and let her ears stick out througfh her hair like elf ears would in the real(though fantancy) world...

Idealy the hair could part a little around the ears to make it look more natural, but it thats not doable, then I'll settle on them just poking through.....

Try going to scene tab click on hair then, go to the parameter tab and check to see what morphs are being used on the hair from the character ,I usually zero any of the head morphs that are being used on the hair and that usually makes the hair quit following the shape of the ears weird ...

Then add collision (edit > object > add smoothing modifier) and set the hair to collide with the figure. This will hopefully nudge the hair around the ears more naturally. It might also look terrible, just have to try it.

Note that these morphs on the hair that are carried over from the character's head might be hidden. If you've looked everywhere on the hair and can't find them, go to the Parameters tab, open the Options menu and select Show Hidden Properties.

Remember to switch this off again when you're done; it also shows a lot of stuff that's "pay no attention to the parameter dial behind the curtain" which shouldn't be fiddled with.
