in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I uninstalled DAZ,  deleted all the Folders  in various places.

Programfiles, Appdata\Roaming,  \users\...  etc etc

cleaned the registry, so I could start Fresh.

After installing Daz 3 and CMS only,  I went to the plugins, and everything is registered already..

Does it pull from my account and fill and register the info?

Last time I remember I had to enter the key to activate plugins.   Where is that info saved since i deleted everything.

So there is still info somewhere... and I want to start clean..

    I think there might still be something tucked away in an unobvious corner of the Windows Registry; either that or you missed one of the "various places". It isn't easy sometimes to strip D|S completely out of a system, there are bits and pieces all over the place, some of them in hidden or system folders (which are usually Nicht Gefingerpoken status for very good reasons). Do you remember all the places you looked for D|S files?

    Another possibility; did you install manually (still the best option for some people for actual programs, as opposed to content) or using a freshly downloaded DIM? There was a recent update of DIM, I don't know if the new version can automatically register plugins as they're installed.

    If DIM is online (logged in to your account) when you install Studio and the plugins it is supposed to be able to install the serial numbers for you; IIRC that was one of the latest updates to DIM.
