Fine Details from ZBrush

Now that I have ZBrush installed, I'm trying to create scars for a piece I'm working on. Is there a way to have fine details transfer from zbrush to DAZ?

If the scar is major then you could do it with a morph (which you can find a tutorial for in my sig). However, if it is a scar much more subtle or close to the surface, then doing a texture map or even a displacement map is the better bet. Making a texture map would be best for something simple as it is the easiest, Displacement is a lot more involve. I have provided some links for you here relevant to ZBrush. I hope they help. *smile*

Thanks for the tutorials. I've chosen to use the displacement maps. I followed Sixus1's tutorial and have the displacement map setup. It looks like it should as a jpeg. But, when I change the displacement map on the surface to the one I created, nothing happens. It makes no difference what I strengths I use. Any idea what I've done wrong?
Oops. Answered my own question. It only shows up on render :)
Glad to help... Er.... Without helping... I guess.
Now that I've got the scars looking the way I want (using displacement maps), is there a way to transfer colors over so I can make the coloring look more like scars? I'm planning on using one of the skin colors I've installed.
How did you color the scars? Paint the colors on in Zbrush?
Does Zbrush use layers when painting?
You may need to take your displacement maps into something like Photoshop and repaint them, use a transparent layer to paint on...that way you'll only get the color on the scar area, with a transparent background. Then apply the newly painted layer to a texture map or use the LIE to be able to apply it to any texture...
At this point I haven't colored them, because I wasn't sure I could transfer the colors. I will try this. Thanks.
You can also use the texture map tutorial and use both texture map and displacement too.
Thanks. I've decided to take a few days off from learning. But, as soon as I get beck to it, I will look at that also.
