DAZ 4.6 Installer. / Revert.
is there anyway to download a DAZ 4.6 installer, and revert to that path.
Since I have Downloaded 4.9 I cannot log the Studio in, I get a login Failed ever though I am using the Password I needed to Launch the IM to install this patch, Changing the PW does not help at all; your log-on routine simply seems to be failing at the Get Go. I had to log on to use the installer, I had to log on to use this forum. So its not like I cant figure that out; I tried regeristing as a new user, but hey the app recognized my username/email but of course just wont recognize my password. Brilliant, Brilliant Programming.
Now because I cant log the Studio, I cannot update my Catagries DB because of course that fails too, so several hundred dollars worth of content is invisible to your program.
AS Always every time I return to your program after a short break, it is an Exercise in utter frustration to get your latest DownGrade to even Work. rignt now the only content I can access are a hand full of Scene Subsets that were the last saves I made under 4.6 If I could revert to 4.6 I might be able to sort out this mess, as it is I dont think its possible.

I've noticed a few folks have checked out this thread. I have since found this post that might be of some use to other users having log-in problems.

I have also found in my download archieves my original full 300+meg 4.6 installer so come Saturday I will purge 4.9 and reinstall 4.6. Hopefully I can post good results on that by Saturday evening. BB

Beautifal I've used DAZ off and on since Daz 3 but the customer does not exist.
Are you sure the email was correct?
Quite sure, I did try with a starting large cap and all small caps the only two ways I ever sign that email neither worked, and oddly as I said I could not reregistar with that adress as the log on server recognized me for that, but not to actually log on. Yet I can log into this forum. ++Wierd.
but thanks for asking Rich.: )
Please open a support ticket - there may be something odd in your accoutn which should be trapped and sorted even if you stick with 4.6 (though you don't, or shouldn't, need to connect to use 4.9 as you use 4.6).
Thanks Rich, will do that. : ) BB
I saw from your Renderosity thread that you also have empty CMS-based views (Categories, Products and Smart Content). If that is right it sounds very like an issue with the firewall blocking DS, stopping it from going online or even talking to the PostgreSQL database - though then I woudl expect DS to complain about the lack of PostgreSQL connection on launch.
Actually I was able to revert to Studio 4.7 but that did not resolve the issues until I went ahead and uninstalled, PostgreSQL. So I suspect your right that DAZ/PostgreSQL is not playing nice with ZoneAlarm; but as Catagories view is the only reasonable option I have for organizing my content. I'm good with Living without the SQL. I can at least get some work done now. As I was hoping to work up an image for a friend. BB.
Ah. Sorry, there are several threads on CMS issues and I thought I'd already asked about security software in this one - yes, ZoneAlarm does not play well with PostgreSQL (though if you open a support ticket with the developers they may have an update which resolves the issue - I have seen reprots of that, so I'm not sure why it isn't in the current build of ZA for general use).
