Where can I find morphs, clothes, etc for Deco and Decoco? There's gotta be a fanbase somewhere!

I dont think there's much, so in situations like these.... CrossDresser can be your friend:

Much of what Akatora made isn't available any more, but I do have a link to his Freestuff, no idea if the files are still there for download or not.
Seems like everything on that page is still there, Bejay...at least it brought up the download dialog for each link clicked.
Decoco is quite old. Been out of development for a year or two.
True, but unfortunately Deco and Decoco are the only Japanese style anime characters that have even this much stuff. I can't navigate japanese websites well enough to find others. The ones I have found are... erotic. I'd go with an erotic figure if they had a following that made non-erotic content as well, but I don't think there's much of that either.
Here's a few other things I've found over the years.

Nezumi had a few items, but I can't find the blog anymore. :(
I also made a character using agent's morphs for Deco awhile back. If you're interested I can try to finish and post it.

If you're looking for asian characters, Kururu is decent and has more items.

Another japanese anime is Sera

Whats wrong with Aiko and Hiro?
I made a bigger post about why I'm not a fan, but it's mostly because the true anime look is not supported by Aiko/Hiro. A lot of people say that they look fine, but to those people I would tell them to open any picture from a typical anime, and then have Aiko/Hitomi/Hiro and Deco/Decoco/Maybe/Sera and compare.
Paradigm67, have you tried the stylized morph in Aiko 3 or 4? That at least gets ride of the horrible nostrils.
Yea, I've spent a lot of time with trying to make them to the quality I'd like. I've had some luck using a little Sadie, a little Aiko4 stylizing morphs and a little hitomi using pwToon saders, but the issue tends to be something that would require me to learn how to make my own geometry morphs.
Anime characters tend to have impossibly sharp chins, a lack of cheekbones without a sinking cheek. I feel like the issue is that the Genesis/Gen4 models are originally for realistic figures and there isn't a morph set that removes that reality. The best of my anime adaptations don't cross the line into "anime" imo, and are left in this unnerving gray zone where they don't look quite right.
For those of you familiar with the concept, this is kind of a reverse uncanny valley effect. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley)
Yeah, I see what you mean.
Have you tried NearMe (Content Paradise) or AnimeDoll (Renderosity)? NearMe is pretty well supported. AnimeDoll takes MayaDoll clothes. There's also a free male version of it at his website. Let me know if you'd like links.
I have a character (custom morph & textures) coming out soon at Renderosity for Terai Yuki 2 to make her more anime-looking. It's in testing over there right now.
I have a lot of Nearme's stuff and I really like her a lot, or him if you have Naoki. The issue is that while they cover child pretty well, there is no adult figure. I have anime doll but havent touched it much. From the quick stuff I did do, it has barely any morphs at all.
AnimeDoll has a bunch of morphs in the head, some naughty bits in the hip, but none in the main body.
If there are some that you need in the body (and you use Poser), I'll whip them up for you & post them at ShareCG.
A decent morph set would be appreciated. I still have Dr. Hack's old morph sets, but they make the mesh wrinkle a bit.
Sure thing. Just make me a list of some of the ones you all would like.
There are no empty channels (that I can remember) in AnimeDoll so the only way I can add them is by using Python to add channels. Do you guys use Poser?
Or you could use a secondary cr2 file, which works just fine in DS. There's also a plugin to use pmd poses in DS, but it hasn't been updated for 4.5 yet.
You mean a replacement cr2? Or can DS4.5 use a 2nd CR2 to call the original CR2 plus augment morphs?
I really don't want to have to hassle with contacting studiomaya to redistribute his CR2 (b/c I would include all his original rigging, etc.) but I guess I could.
Please correct me if I'm not thinking of something here. I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night and vitlers & I have been talking about way-out rigging stuff all day, so I might be a bit foggy in the noggin. :)
Using a 2nd cr2 to call the original. Not that's without problems either, but it does work. I used this to bundle some misc morphs I had that were originally distributed as obj morph targets.
Something like this:
That way, more morph sets can be inserted by merely adding more readScript calls.
Or you could just use it to add a bunch of blank channels.
That's cool. I can give that a try. What kind of problems did you run into? I wasn't aware that Poser would create/add channels using that method. Hey, you learn something new every day. :-)
I normally use python to create the channels and then call a pz2 to inject them.
I found out about it by dissecting other people's files to see how they work. (yeah I know, I'm such a geek :D)
The problems I have is getting a missing file error--asking for the location of the file--if someone moved the original cr2, sometimes hidden channels from the original cr2 become unhidden, and alternative geometry channels can act goofy if injected this way. I don't think AnimeDoll has any hidden channels, and geometry swapping is rarely used.
The CR2 being moved is probably the most common issue. At least for me, I always move them. I'm a runtime organization freak.
Are you on DS? This may just have to be a Poser thing.
I prefer DS, but I do Poser as well. I try not to move figure files, but everything else just has to be in order. My runtimes would be chaotic madness otherwise.
Gotcha. I move everything except OBJs and textures. I *hate* when the PMDs are located in with the CR2 so I typically hack the CR2 and then move the PMD to geometries folder. I categorize all my products by theme and/or character. It's nutty. :)
Anyhow... :) What kind of morphs did you all want/need?
