Ongoing issues with deleting characters from scenes

This has been going on since 4.8, but I notice it's getting worse.

When I had 4.8 I could jump to 4.8 beta and delete characters from scenes there, but now in 4.9 both versions hang if you try to delete characters.

The only way around it is to save a scene as a subset leaving out the character not wanted, but this is just getting silly.

Am I the only one having this issue?

Out of curiosity are you running Reality 4?

    I do not have Reality.

    Would that fix this?

    That's odd. I don't think I've had that issue.

Does it happen if you create a brand new scene, add a figure and nothing else, then delete that character?

Have you tried clearing out Daz Studio's cache/temp folder?

I've had this problem several times and I'm using 4.7.

I'm running 4.9 and delete characters from scenes all the time. No issues.

I had it in 4.8 and I had Reality 2.5 and Reality 4.1 and was having this issue. I removed the 4.1 folder from DS and the issue stopped for me. Unfortunately PretA3D  tested but had not been able to duplicate so not sure if that was the cause or a coincidence but I'm not having it happen, and that was the only change on my end.

It's strange, as I find that it is not always a problem, and I never know when it will happen.

I have resorted to saving everything as a scene constantly, so I can reload it if this happens.

Then I will save the scene as a subset, to remove the characters.

I've tried multiple things, including reinstalling DAZ, and reboots.

This is happening to me, as well. JD, what scene are you using?
