Where did my installed content go? And just what is gone, anyway?

I just built a new computer, and since I had to put it online to verify the OS, I installed Studio 4.9 and all of my content at the same time. Took a while. Now it''s offline, and will stay that way.

But DIM says that I only have 3807 items installed, while my old computer with Studio 4.8 says I have 3998! So what happened to the other 191 products?

I know that one item that is missing is Subdragon LE, which is a pain, as he is a character in my webcomic. I suppose I can pull the Genesis Starter Essentials files from the old computer and install them in the new, but why didn't they download and install with the rest? Aut the other missing products... Am I going to have to compare both IM lists (almost 4000 entries) to find out which files are missing?

So far the only two things that I like in 4.9 vs 4.8 are the faster iray renders and the larger type.

Check that you have the same filters set in both copies of DIM.

I'm not using any filters (at least none show in the drop down "Manage Filters" menu).

Oh, and the Millenium Subdragon LE that I need is there, but not in Products or Smart content. I had to load an old scene, click on the dragon to find out the name, (I couldn't remember the name) then search the content library for it and add it as a product manually. Not fun.

But that still leaves 191 others...

Not those filters, there's a Download Filters button at the top of the Ready to Download tab (or a page in preferences).

Unfortunately, the Ready to Download tab is always greyed out, since I install everything manually. I didn't change anything when I installed DIM, what are the default filters? I downloaded and installed DIM on 06/13.

Ah, so this is in the Ready to Install tab not the Ready to Download tab, and you just copied all of the zips from the old machine?

No, when I went online to validate the OS (Win7), since I was online anyway, I downloaded DIM, Studio 4.9 and all of my Daz store purchased content. But that's the last time it's going online.

The only files I copied from the old computer were my creations.

If you downloaded ion that machine then the filters (in Preferences, the gear icon at top-right, Download tab) would be a factor as they would affect which items showed as available to download. Also if you don't regularly go on-line you will have missed some changes that would affect what would download even with the filters unchanged - for example some PC items that had Poser files and DS companion files now have stand-alone DS packages, which would reduce the total by at least one per product, and some items have lost their legacy packages.

Okay, thank you. That would explain it. I suppose if I run into any future problems, I can just grab the files from the old computer. I've copied them all to an external hard drive already, just in case...
