DS 4.9 is Driving me Crazy!

All of these little problems that don't repeat themselves except at random intervals. What's it doing now? I needed a glass of milk in my render. Did a search in the content library for "milk", got the contents without the glass. So I left-clicked on the contents, "show in products". Right now I'm looking at pink sweaters in the content library, #s 69001-69276 of 103553. It's showing me every-freaking-thing-in-my-content-library.
 Finally I clicked on "Browse to file location" which gave me ArtCollab-Christmas Accessories, so I have my glass of milk. But really...

Of course, if I restart the computer, the problem will disappear. But a different one will rear it's nasty little head in a day or two.

I have Studio 4.8 on the same computer, and it doesn't have these problems. If 4.9 didn't render iray faster, I wouldn't even use it. I guess the only way to avoid these maddening little glitches will be to build scenes in 4.8, then load them into 4.9 to render.

All I can say is, "So. I"m not alone." I wish I were savvy enough to offer up a solution. I hope someone else does.

I'm starting to develop the theory that little things like these and (in my case) 1/s the library simply not showing up in any of the directory paths is a bug. It wasn't this way for me with the last verrsion of DAZ 4.9. I've been thinking about going backwards and dumping the latest version. It's crazy how I just spent 4 hours looking for one shirt that would fit Aiko 3.

It's so many little things that don't repeat when I restart my computer. Search is working fine now, but some shaders aren't showing up. I'll probably go back to 4.8, just to avoid the frustration. 4.9 is like a malignant box of Cracker Jacks - I never know what nasty little surprise will show up when I open the program!
