Wrong sizes in loading G3F Characters

Hi,

I'm just a new user and am not sure of the way I'm using new characters for G3F. Since a recent update of DAZ 4.9, every time I load a character for G3F (anyone but G3F base) figure appears with fitness, heavy, voluptuous and sometimes weight activated (more than 0 %), and don't look like expected (on sample pictures when bought). Are there some default rules to apply, or is it a bug from the updated version ?

Thanks and scuse me for my english language which is not perfect.

Hello, do they look radically different to the promotional renders, or just a bit off? A lot of character artists will use stock morphs as opposed to custom character dials, so it is possible they are active on purpose. Could you provide and example?

Are you getting the same morphs on every Genesis 3 female you load, base figure or character? If so that sounds as if something has been saved as a morph asset (by you or by a content creator) with a non-zero default value. You can check this by clicking the gear icon on the sliders and selecting Parameter Settings, then looking at the Controllers tab at the bottom - if there's a character or shape listed as a controller for all of them find that, open its Parameter settings, and make sure the Default Value is set to 0, then use File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Asset to resave just that one morph (leaving all of the options as they are to ensure the fixed version overwrites the one with a bad value).

Sounds like the base isn't affected, but you may still be right. If he's a new user my guess is they are PA implemented morphs, but to be honest the majority of the time i pick up a new character they have singular custom character sliders.

  • Thanks for your help.

I'm just discovering all the capabilities of DAZ 4.9, and I am not able to understand all what you'reer saying.

So, I try with parameters tab, right button and Zero control and it seems to work eg for Victoria. I suppose that the reason is the one you have described.

  • In fact, I was wrong. Zero control only gets back to Genesis standard character.

    I'm still trying to unbderstand.

Zero zeroes all settings of the type you select (pose, shape or everything). What, if anything, is set when you load Genesis 3 Female?

  • Everything seems to be "0%" except the navel witch is "100 %".

And if you load one of the other ... 7 character presets?
