Render doesn't match viewport?

I just rendered a figure. In the viewport, her mouth is slightly open and you can see the gleam of her teeth. However, in my render, her lips are together. How is that possible? I don't mind in this particular case, but shouldn't the render match what I see in the viewport?

maybe check your lighting...sometimes the lighting creates shadows that changes the appearance
Might also be a factor of Displacement/normal maps.
Two most likely causes:
Displacment maps or subdivision levels (or both working together)

Thanks for all the advice. I will look into that thread and, if it happens again, check if it is a lighting issue. I don't yet know anything about displacement maps but I'll read up.
