Well, Valzheimer's Wear Them All has a breast helper, and I also have a product for it at That Other Site (Front Fixer), but it's only for G3. Maybe I need to throw together a G1G2G3 version for this market too. Originally I didn't offer Daz the Front Fixer because I thought it was too small for them to take it, but with them accepting the Decrackifier that's clearly not the case.
http://www.daz3d.com/ultra-bodysuit-for-genesis-2-female-s , the spandex chest options and a few similar chest morphs, are about the simplest/best approach to fixing bosom cling that I've seen.
Fit the bodysuit to the figure, fit the clothing to the bodysuit, hide the bodysuit, bam
(I have a bunch of other solutions, but this is the best workflow I've found)
Humorously enough I did that exact thing for the original Genesis at That Other Site back in the day (before I was a PA). I think it's still for sale there.
Oh, and if anyone has any terrifyingly giant breast morphs they'd like to send or link me via PM, I'll do XXXXL bridgers. The biggest it's possible to make with my current setup are still within the technical possibilities of human surgery. This is not within my personal spectrum of interests, but selling products to people is. ^.^
body suit = geometry overhead, plus the morphs loaded with it. >.<
Yep, that's a fact, but we didn't have reverse projection yet.
If those are factors, I believe that once you fit the shirt to the bodysuit it inherits active morphs. You can then refit it to the figure and use those morphs, delete bodysuit.
i think.
That is correct. It'll be the ones that are currently dialed in only (active, like you said) and I'm not 100% on whether it will reload after a save. At the time it was better than no custom morph bridging solution for outfits without dedicated breast morphs.
I still find it a great solution. Heh
haha Awesome! *throws my money at you*
Is a SY DeCamelToefyer coming soon too, I hope? :) I do most of my art from the front, so could really use that... And some of the outfits are shrink wrapped in such a way that it makes the girls look like they have male genitalia that I have to postwork out!
Please send pics via PM so I know what you want fixed and/or how you want it to actually look? It's not out of the question!
When I'm making scenes, a good proportion of my time is spent exporting figures and clothes out of DAZ Studio for tweaking. Getting skirts to rest on thighs, T-shirts to fit over jeans, eliminating poke-through, breast-cling and general fit. Yes, there are some great products out there which help but, for me, never enough to get that realistic look. VWD dynamic draping was a big hope but, for me, it was disappointingly slow and prone to crashing. I found that I could tweak in Blender much fast faster than drape in VWD and also save my tweaks as morphs for later use. That's not to say that VWD hasn't improved - I believe there are some significant developments since I last tried - but it is out of my price range right now.
Someone on YouTube just pointed out to me that Decimator makes it possible to use a lot of things with VWD that otherwise are impossible or too slow. Right now I'm going load up figure with stuff - decimate to 40 or 50% - sim the cloth and hair - undecimate the base figure. It's really making things more fast and stable in my testing, and I can use things like OOT's hairs and the Friar outfit.
Decimator plus VWD plus the DAZ Studio Bridge for VWD is quite an outlay for the hobbyist. Having said that, I bought Decimator years ago when I caught it with a big discount so I'd be interested in your results. One day I might get back to VWD but I can't afford it at the moment.
By the way, I think it was mentioned somewhere that the devloper might include a built-in decimator in a future release.
It's not much more than $100. The Personal (read: one-computer commercial) license of Marvelous Designer is $500. The tutorial I did for VWD already has 678 views, which isn't much for YouTube, but it's multiples of the amount the two MD tutorials have. So somebody's using it.
I did not buy Decimator separately, so I'm guessing it was included with the Pro tools at some point in the past?
Just checked - Decimator is still selling at $100. Someone with $100 to spare might think "I could buy 3D Coat for that". Acutally, right now the hobbyist version of 3D Coat is only $79.
I think it came with DS when DS was a apid for program. Once they made DS 100% discount they had to sell Decimator separately, as DS don't actually own it. So those who had bought DS in the past had paid for it as part of the price they paid for DS.
So it's not 45% off for everyone else right now, just me? Maybe I'm seeing the glitch again.
And I paid $350 for 3d Coat back in the day... It was cheaper than Zbrush!
$100 in my browser.
I bought Decimator and it always peeved me I did not get a DS3 version of the plugin when DS4 had just been released and I had DS3A so maybe was in the pro version?
Yup. Must be a glitch. Sorry about that! I probably got it when I bought the Pro version of DS during the brief period when it was being charged for.
Still though, utilities go on sale super often. VWD + bridge + Decimator is still a better deal than MD for someone with a small investment outlay looking to make book covers or another small business.
Maybe I'm just a penny-pincher but I think that MD is outrageously expensive. OK, so if you are a professional and can write it off as a business expense, maybe, but I can't see how the average hobbyist can justify it. I had the same thoughts about the iClone animation pipeline with DAZ Studio extension.
MD is absolutely not for the average hobbyist, lol. I never said it was.
No you didn't
SickleYield, I started with DS in March and there are soooo many things I still have no clue how to use.... Do you have any tutorials on the following or plan to make them?
Joint Editor, Geometry Editor, Node Weight Map Brush, ActivePose, New Group, New Node Instance, New Nodes Instances (plural), New Geometry Shell, New D-Former, New Push Modifier Weight Node, New Iray Decal Node, New Iray Section Plane, Transfer Utility, Transfer Active Morphs, Morph Loader Advanced, Morph Loader Pro, Scene Identification, Set Default Compatibility Bases, Element data, everything under the sub-menus for Geometry, Rigging, Instances, Assets, Bake to transforms, and more.... Why are all these capabilities being hidden from us because of lack of documentation??? It would be really great if someone, if not Daz for some reason, could explain all this...
Thanks :)
If you're just going down the interface looking at buttons, the actual wiki is probably your best choice.
I have tutorials on how to do specific things, not a tour of the entire interface of the program (and I'm not going to do that).
You can get to the tutorials I have from my deviantart and YouTube (also in my sig).

I paid just $299 for the pro version back in June or July I think. They always have a big sale on their "anniversary" :).

OK thanks. Just found some of the more detailed tutorials from Daz but they still kind of skim through some things they assume I should know... I have watched and enjoyed some of your tutorials before and will check more out. Thanks.
Wow, just realized Daz removed a video tutorial I wanted to check out. I'm beginning to think there's a conspiracy theory LOL, they don't WANT us to know how to fully use the program so we buy more products that do it for us...
I looked at VWD when it first came out but could not get my head around the demo using Poser so not buying Carrara or DS plugins and the finished version as will only end in tears.
I had similar issues with MD demos, made mistake before of buying software I cannot understand not doing it again.
I am not going to use complicated stuff that sucks out all the fun I am afaraid.
