    How about this hanger? ;)

    Yes!  Where?

The HMCP looks great, and so does the hangar!  Would like both please!  laugh

You just HAD to use the "s" word. Jerk.
BTW all - another "must have" http://www.daz3d.com/real-lights-for-daz-studio-iray Lighting makes an amazing difference. if you don't do your own, get his... seriously/

  • With this product, I was hoping the turrets would have both elevation as well as traversal. Of course, they did, but what I hadn't thought of was the amazing degree of articulation for the wheels! They don't just turn; each section has both elevation and the ability to move one or the other individual side up or down. There are times y ou place a person or vehicle in a scene and then realise tht, because it isn't flat, you're going to have to undertake a lot of relocation and posing, to make it look as if the figure or vehicle has a believable centre of gravity and doesn't hve any part of it magically intersecting with the ground. This vehicle completely solves that!

DZ, were you inspired by the Cobra helicopter gunship, for the turret on the front? Looks very similar to that. It's something I've been wanting on a futuristic flying gunship for a while, but works surprisingly well for a ground vehicle!

Not that DZFire's promos need augmenting, but here's a quick and dirty HDRI lighting render of the HMCP with Karen 7 for scale. Massive! The floor primitive is 30 x 30 meters. Going to have some fun with this.

  • I think DzFire is one of the best hard model makers (easy top 3)

This is one of the best models he has made, looking forward to playing with it in some renders so.

again I would like to thank DzFire for supporting Poser. It did not go unnoticed that Daz said it was only DAZ compatable when it first went on sale. but that was changed very fast.

Only problem I have is that I cannot find doors for the interior. Am I missing something?

A new hanger has gone on sale by another artist today. But I think I will wait for DzFire new hanger, as I think it looks better (personal opinion)

Current trend for virtually all industry (at least in the US) is reducing accident rates. Yellow and black marking when there is a step, lip, curb and so forth. Yellow railings etc. If you found the color to jump out and capture your attention, that's the point.

I have to ask.... As much as I love the hanger there is this trend to make accent colors yellow.... Like the railing? A number of pa's do this so I am curious why. I find the bright yellow kind of distracting personally.

There are some companies that will refuse to do business with you if you have a poor accident rate.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Too clean for me. Every bay and pool I've ever been in has stuff all over.

  • I just realised the only thing this vehicle is missing are a ladder for each side to get in the cockpit. :)

When I saw that comment, my first thought was that soldiers got into those things by climbing the tires, but without all the MOVEITMOVEITMOVEIT! part.  I wasn't sure, though, since I was a Navy brat and only accustomed to what sailors did.  You know those guys who don't actually use the rungs on a ladder when they go down them?  They just put their feet on the outside and slide down.  :)  I doubt any self respecting soldier of any branch uses ladders they way we civilians do.

    HEAVY MOBILE COMMAND POST

It's been a long time coming but it's here, the http://www.daz3d.com/Heavy-Mobile-Command-Post. Now you can have a large uparmored mobile command post. Features working doors, hatch, suspension, weapons and a complete interior.

Comes ready for Daz Studio's Iray and 3Delight as well as Poser files. The inside was designed with Iray rendering in mind and looks great right out of the box.
     Ready for a Bug hunt?

Show off how you would use the http://www.daz3d.com/heavy-mobile-command-post here.

Could you give me a little help?

Mine's interior doesn't show up properly, instead, I get an assortment of grey cubes, but no actual model.

It looks to be a bad install, Daz Studio cannot find the geometry. Try re-installing it with DIM and follow up.
