When you load NGS 2 Script, it looks good on the lips? I have caution in my presets: DO NOT HAVE ANY SURFACE SELECTED!!
Thnx
D-Z
Hmmm...Well, let me try it again with no surfaces.
I know it's probably a complicated answer. But, why would you not have surfaces selected like when using any other shader preset?
I think this is a script that uses a shader. So the script does that process for you, which is why you don't need to select it. That's my guess.
Can this be installed manually? I prefer installing manually. I will NOT use Connect.
Copy/paste is usually what I do. I can stomach a DIM download once in a while.
I bought yesterday. So'll be playing with it some today.
This product ROCKS.
Here is another render. This time both are using NGS2 for G2. The one on the left was applied under "Surfaces / Skin." The one on your right I did not select any surfaces, just the Gen2. The overall appearance is almost exactly the same except that the lips on the right one are not quite as glossy and show a bit more of the lip color.
So, how do I reduce the gloss on the lips?
Got it...see my most recent example above. The lips do look better, but still too glossy.
Can you please show me a screenshot with your lips surface focused on Top Coat Values?
Thnx
D-Z
did you select the Gen2 in the surfaces tab?
If yes, dont do it - just select in viewport or scenetab.
It isn't lighting.
Here are the two Gianni skin images. It doesn't seem to matter which light I use. After the shader is applied, he is distinctly paler almost anemic. Since I tend to render men a lot, I want to preserve the same skin tone look, but use the shader. I am hoping for some suggestions on how to do that.
I have rendered these with ElianeCK's Face and body lights.
Nope, just selected in the Scene Tab.
Which light please, from A to F? Just want to check it.
I guess A
Thnx

Here are my Top Coat Settings. I didn't alter anything before I loaded NGS2
Top Coat Weight, Color, and 0 have different maps or no maps than my shader provides.
yes. the first one A.
I didn't change them. What should they be?
I love this product and want it to look like the promos, how can I get smoother skin, its coming out blotchy; thanks.
Preset A has Cyan Spot Light and 10000 Light Temperature. Do you still believe you are ok with your previous result?
Thnx

I'm not sure what you are asking.
But like I said, it doesn't matter which lights I use, the product is changing Gianni's skin pale. Even if I just use default camera with headlamp- skin is very pale.
I just wanna say that light preset A is a very Cool lighting! So you cant get a very redish skin with such a cool light. Although Gianni's diffuse maps are not so warm by default.
But maybe you need to edit a little the glossy color on my shader. Less cyan. Thats all.
Just Look my renders:
1. Check the diffuse and the render
2. Check the A Light changed to 6500K with White Color (Natural Light)
Do you see any difference beetween diffuse map & render?
So I think skin color depends of the light color
But as I said you can play a bit with glossy color (less cyan), just set first clossy color value from 0.35 to 0.50 and see the difference.
P.S.
I hide B Point Light, doesnt matter because it has cyan color too.
And dont take that as an attack. I'm trying to help you.
Thnx

Outstanding render Melissa! I'm a bit on the fence about this product, but this render may have pushed me over the edge!
wanted to try Gianni too
the 4 images all have the same lights as with the female renders before (just changed the character in the scene)
looks like male characters getting more pale when using N.G.S.2
the renders are Gianni default iray skin, Gianni with N.G.S.2 and for comparison I suited Gianni in Ivans skin - again default and with N.G.S.2
OK, do not get me wrong but let's get more serious:
One Render - 2 Same Figures - Left with Default Shader - Right with NGS 2 (I dont mind if its Gianni or any other character)
Which Figure is closer to the diffuse map color?
