    I think you just paste the link into the message...don't use the link button in the edit ribbon, just paste the link, like this:

    On the YouTube page click on Share, then copy and paste the link that pops up below that.

    Or click on Cher.

    OK, menu is in Danish here so no Share but something that translates into "Copy embedded code" (iframe), I guess it must be that. If you quote a post with an youtube video you only see the url not the iframe code, that was what confused me.

    Well that was what I did in my previous post above but it didn't work, it just displays the link. Placing the iframe code in the source worked however.

    Strange    works for me

    no fancy nancy  source code stuff or using the rich text editor,   simply copying the code and doing a simple paste here.

    can't test that for you.  I disabled IE on my PC yonks ago,  around about the IE 11 time

    It's strange your paste is showing as a link.    When I paste it shows just as normal text until I post the comment   https://   youtu.be/bv4q4Kk0Qr0

    I have inserted a gap, so it didn't turn into a link, to show you what I mean,  but I see that,  properly formatted, as just text, not as a hyperlink.

    You used the link button in the edit window, didn't you?  Don't do that, just paste the link, as though you were pasting text that you cut from another document.

    Yeah that doesn't work for me. I use Chrome, and wasn't getting it to work someone told me to use the Share text trick to embed videos.

    You can also hit Cntrl C and Cntrl V to copy and paste the link.
