It's been drizzling and semi-snowing here for days, melting in the afternoon, then snow during the night, then morning rain, etc. etc.  So much so that it's filled up our septic tank and my toilet won't flush properly sometimes.  I'm having to resort to the policy of "If it's yellow let it mellow.  If it's brown flush it down." sad  Landlord has been notified.  I just hope it gets resolved before things get messy. surprise

...another reason why (besides the fact I do not drive), that even though it is more expensive, I prefer to stay in the city.

Morning. A bevy of black and white balloons spitting a bit of flame high in our marbly blue and white sky like over-toasting marshmallows held too close to the rising sun :)

...fortunately no "white stuff" on the ground when I got up this morning though bone and joint chilling cold, especially tonight (mid 20s which for here is c-c-c-cold).  1" - 3" of snow expected on Thursday and 3" - 5" next week.

Extra blankets are on the bed.

lucky enough to catch rainwater for drinking here, in other parts of continental oz there is only bore water from deep wells, tastes like chemicals cos of all the lime in it I guess

ground/bore/aquifer water tastes more like rocks, especially in mostly arid places like here, sometimes there are sweet springs but rainwater iz best :)
