*Add-ons for very old, highly stylized/toon characters that aren't unicorns. And which I don't own or intend to buy.
*Light sets: "Compatible Software: Poser"
*TerraDome add-ons: "Compatible Software: [list of 'Daz to' bridges], Poser."; "Required Products: Runtime DNA's TerraDome" which is discontinued outside of a $42+ bundle.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Lights or TerraDome [1] products don't work in current or recent versions of Poser. And I cannot figure out how a non-Daz Studio compatible product (only TerraDome 3 was made for D/S) would be useful for the DS bridges.
TL/DR: I have no use for these
I put some free items in my cart earlier this moring, and have gotten 6 emails within the last half-hour reminding me that there are items in my cart and I should check out...
It´s really nice to have the freebies updated! Granted, most of this current selection isn´t useful to me... but the HDRI do provide some nice, soft light despite having the wrong distortion.

And now the biweekly freebie section has been repopulated with new freebies.
Yeah, but again it is for old stuff... stuff for: original Star clothing textures, the unicorn, Runtime DNA TerraDome, IDL lighting Rig for Poser 9, and an old bumper car. Yawn.
I'm usually not one to look a gift horse (or unicorn) in the mouth. I understand DAZ doesn't have to offer any freebies if they don't want to, we are not entitled to them.
But I will say this: I do not understand their recent thinking re the freebie section at all.
one thing is annoying me a lot those days with the week freebies is which we are getting a lot of repeating "stars" extra stuffs like "textures" or morphs" for star base model or textures for hairs for star or for unicorn i means a lot of lady littlefox "addons" but actually the "base model we never get which make those "free stuffs" useless unless you buy the base models (characters, hairs and outftis), really a lot of pointless stuff because of the "lack of the base model which is a lot old, this is start to look really bad.
I should have been more specific and stated the yawn is directed at it being old stuff for the same old models: the original Star, Unicorn, and Terradome. I am okay with it being old stuff just not so thrilled that it's for the same models several weeks in a row.
I've been told that the Star clothing fits the Star! 2 figure (Genesis). Haven't had a chance to test out that theory. Still, never had the original Star, and so never got any of the clothing. Textures are useless without the clothing for which they're made.

I agree, especially the base unicorn is really REALLY old and still quite expensive. It's pretty and I would absolutely consider getting it, but not for more than PCFAD price. Hmmmmm, maybe that could be a suggestion for October ...? ;-)

luckily it's the ONLY freebie this week(s) - so we don't have to click 5-6 times to try to find find 5-6 antiquated base products that don't exist any more so that we can use the antiquated textures/addons offered as only "weekly" (monthly) freebies recently

What's up with the biweekly freebies? Is DAZ trying to phase them out? We usd to get about 12 products; now there is only one. And that requires a product that is no longer in the store.

I suspect it's a lot less intentional than that, whatever's going on. What would the reason be for "phasing them out" in such a haphazard way? They can just stop them if they choose to do so.
