Hansmar and Mermaid - thank you.

Fun with Dave's Desert Temple continues unabated for me. Just moving the camera a bit, adding some cumulus clouds (if I edit Stratus clouds, Bryce crashes consistently), a bit of light balancing and in the distance some small terrains making up distant houses.

Horo: Yes, it is an amazing model with so many options. You've chosen a very interesting point of view and, of course, made a beautiful render.

    Hansmar - thank you.

I put the model now into the warehouse for later use. Rendered with natural light (RNL), only light source is the HDRI that also makes the backdrop. Soft IBL shadows, blurry reflections and DOF.

Very nice render. Though the fence looks a bit big, compared to the temple.

Beautifully done, Mermaid,, I have to agree with Hansmar, though. It makes the Desert Temple look small.

Thanks Hansmar and Horo. I realized that the fences were big later that evening when I viewed this page on my tablet. Let’s call it a mini-town model.   winklaugh   I will work on it again this weekend.

I reworked the above render as a night scene.  I used the Moon tut from Dave for this night scene and a 2D Face for the stars and used one of Horo’s Sunless Hdri Skies for the lighting.

mermaid010: Wow. What a marvelous render. You're use of the 2D face and HDRI works very well!

Mermaid, Seems you're making huge steps in your lighting mastery. You are becoming quite comfortable finding solutions, combining tools in optimal manner. Quicker study than I ever was. Bryce should be an even more enjoyable app now.

    Horo - thanks

Rashad - thanks - no I'm not making huge steps just got lucky with the lighting.

Cheers, Dave : it's said that one can never go wrong with a 'great' model, and in this case, hopefully, does some justice to the point  - so simple.

    Many thanks!

Jamahoney: wonderful view and colours. I'm not so fond of the noise, though.

    Cheers, Hansmar.

Yeah, a bit noisy - a matter of effect, I suppose.

Jamahoney - very well done. The film you used for tthe shot was just a bit grainy, but when we're abroad, we've got to do with what we have at the moment. laugh
