Must be pretty bad if the CIA cant find a 'practical solution' to this. Better call MI6 :-P

In fact, why is this even a Secret Service matter? Mind you I have no idea who monitors Internet crime. Maybe they're concerned for their own Internet security? Perhaps they use Java :-P - I thought perhaps Feds would have a division that focused on Internet Security.

I guess, that is if Homeland Security is the CIA? I dont know, I'm not American.

None the less, that article is stupid lol

Yes, indeed. One does tend to wonder if they have any idea what the result would be if everyone did do as they suggest.

I'm still around, spending too much time trying to decide what to spend money on. Seems like the only prices I can rely on are the $1.99 old PC items. It's stoopid to spend so much time in the store and forums that I don't have time to make anything.

Big and strong Rareth! It's a positive :)

@Anne - We'll, I typically render while online. My computer seems to cope rather well with the scenes I've been rendering lately. Mind you, they are in a studio set up, no background. I'm rendering characters and their hairstyles I've been making for them in Garibaldi. (I think I addicted to Garibaldi LOL) But at the same time, I'm updating my characters, converting them to V5 and M5 UV's and applying new things I've learned with their shaders and surfacing.

I myself have had to cut back on spending. University is closed, and I work nights there... So, I'm on a holiday so to speak.

A couple of points on Avatars.

At the moment avatars are not working correctly, so a new one won't upload

Max size for an avatar is 100 x 100 pixels, and less than 100kb

As with all images avatars should be either your own work, or an image that is public domain, with no royalties etc attached, so not just a random image downloaded from the internet, but one that is specifically allowed to be reproduced.

so even if I could get it as my avatar would be wrong?

  • ChoholeChohole Posts: 33,604

Yes unless the image is definitely public domain. You must remember that just because images are on the internet, they are not necessarily public domain.

Things like lol cats are meant to share.

May seem stupid, but you do have to be careful.

Verizon came up with a great idea (compared with SOPA etc.) against piracy. At least morally... But how effective the measures are, I really don't know.
