OK I have a Gforce GTX 760 card now and even with only the terrain and river visible in 3D view
    and in wireframe
moving my newly bought Neuschwantien castle around imposible
am tearing my hair out I tell you

Similar situation here. I just migrated to a newer fancier windows machine with a gforce graphics card. Files with visible replicators still slow to snails pace. I opened vllla alpine, turned replicators etc invisible, and still way too slow. Contact Howie? Is it slow for him?

the sheer scale of the scene is mindboggling
I dropped the castle in and it was lost
using terrain and camera adding rest from browser after only resized but far too big for trees yet dwarfted in scene
    will try again
cannot work with scene loaded just terrain and camera
I really think it is only meant for rendering nice backdrops

Try running it in software only instead of open GL

    Thx might try next load
anyhow here is go number 2
my rocky base looks rather naff though, need a nice rounded hill with flat top for castle, might need to doctor the terrain
just stuck a vertex "rocky out crop" in

I think the rocks don't inherently look wrong. I think what looks wrong is snowy look in the crevasses and cracks on the outcrop. Anyway to change that to a more grassy look or stick some trees on the flat ledges?
