I have seen images and drawing but that is all. The refit NX-01 and a copy of a Luna class are my top two sought after models for my runtime. I remember asking Matty once if he had a copy but for the life of me I can't remember what he said. I do remember that he answered me though, damn my sand clogged brain!
Is there any J.J.Abrams Enterprise-Bridge for Poser available?
i started a new project the other day , the premice is what id q had sent the next gen crew on a steampunk adventure ..
so far ive worked out gordie and data
I can't remember seeing one but that doesn't mean there isn't one out there. If you check the first page of this thread there is a HUGE listing of Trek related items free and otherwise you might have some luck finding what you are looking for there.
he still needs some work but heres picard
I would swear that Picard is moonlighting as the Ringmaster at the local Circus in that outfit but it definitely works for him in a steampunk sort of way!
Is there still somewhere I can get my hands on the files for Riker? It seems that the page no longer exists, even in the forum archive.
I am assuming that you are talking about the Wertz morph that was out a while ago? You, me and about everyone else here wishes it that they were still around. Unfortunately Wertz pulled up stakes and disappeared overnight never to be seen again. I wish I could point you in the right direction, sorry.
It happens! If I ever get my hands on it I'll let you guys know.
Steampunk Data looks like a female version on that chest there.... lol
have you considered M4 Tin Man for Steampunk Data? http://www.daz3d.com/m4-tin-man
I think it would be really cool if Q showed up to turn everything steampunk. Then you'd have a logical explanation for the scenario other than it just being cool. Either him or Trelayne. :) I think Data can be fixed with a different texture map so that it doesn't look like a bra, lol.
Like the Steam Punk idea
I'd guess a Ferengi ship
I'd guess an Orion Slave Ship :coolsmile:If memory serves, Redfern had a K'zzinti recreational yacht--with lots and lots of Caitian staff. :-P
What? You don't expect ALL K'zzin to be either pirates or bloodthirsty barbarians, do you??
After all, we have to produce cash to pay for all those those Man-K'zin wars....somehow....
Yay! A new toy to play with. :) Thank you, Matty.
Will you be releasing the conversion of the other NX-01 model, for comparison and contrast? I recall you mentioned that this one was to scale, and the other was not, but was higher detailed?
As always stellar work, and always look forward to new releases. :)
You're welceome everyone!
As for the other model, someone else has already done a poser conversion - http://www.sharecg.com/v/66413/browse/11/Poser/Nx-01
I was going to do my own but after comparing the two models again, I really dont like the second one. Its very inacurate imho. So I will stick with the one I just did and leave it at that until a better NX-01 model is made.
Steam Punk Borg would be kool
We wish ... if you find 'the floorplans' anywhere ... snag and shout!
There was one rather expensive unlicensed version being sold that was created in Blender [odds are it won't stand up for use in Hexagon/Poser - and I rather doubt one would get 'support' from vendor/site selling such items for CBS Studio's lawyers' pockets].
I have asked around to those who would know if/where such plans might be but they are well guarded :-(
Gee, I'd even buy a book if I could find one.
On the up side though, appears to be a general rehash of the common bridge, just add a bunch of lights all over the place, extra railings, and metal grid floors ... then add a whole bunch more "lens flare" either in the rendering or perhaps better in post work ...
And with any luck, nobody will recognize TOS bridge ;-)
hehehe ....

I for one did not get the changes made to the interiors of the JJ Abrams vessels, specifically bridge and Engineering and how they were depicted..
Oh that Engineering stuff .... something about a Brewery.
Now on one of my wild "collect all that is collectable" ... I did come across a hallway for JJ's Enterprise.
It's not on the front burner, but it's on the stove.
Thank you Mattymanx for another conversion :-)
I've put a link to your post in my clothing thread too:

Have also "started" the "Let's make uniforms" project.

There is a supposed model of the JJ Bridge on the Google Sketch-Up market. Whether that has all the features, with the glass partition interactive walls, etc, I don't know. But, for a rough, its a start.
Plus, I'm sure there's a detailed bridge design on the net on arstechnica.com, as they have bridge designs and schematics of every other ship you could possibly imagine from Star Trek.

Yeah, that one on shareCG is pretty out of proportion and seems to be a conversion of a very basic design for Starfleet Command model. (Never that big on Starfleet Command models, as they always seem to come out looking not smooth and you have to do all lighting effects like windows, etc in Photoshop, post render.)
You're right, though. Having looked around, there isn't that many 3D models of the NX-01 that are available, and the only REALLY good one, is on Doug Drexler's site, and he won't let anyone play with his models, being as he's tied to Paramount. Pity, though, having Poser conversions of his models would be mind-blowing.
Well at first that appears to be a news website however in Googling it with ST terms yes it does turn up some good reference pages for some items. I haven't tripped over the bridge designs and schematics page though. If anybody finds the link before I do, a post would be nice ;-)
I am aware of the usual schematic pages listing "every bridge except" this one. And ditto for the ships.
this is the bridge from google3d found at the link below. i was able to take it from google3d make it a 3ds file then convert it to boject. someone helped and got it to smooth out better and look good im sorry i dont remember who that was it was awhile ago. anyway its the only one i know of.
sorry the link

oops my bad, I meant http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org
This has schematics of ships, bridges (cleanly scanned from the Star Trek Files magazines), screenshots and other artwork for reference.
Also been doing google image searching for Star Trek 2009 bridge design, and found this panoramic shot.

and here's a 360 degree panorama from the official movie site: http://www.startrekmovie.com/panoramas/bridge.html
Thank you. Downloading now and also sketchup ... and we'll see what happens.

np, all interesting links! Thank you.
Hmm. I've seen the film, and I don't remember realising the bridge was so close in its general layout to the "real" TOS Enterprise. Although the shooting angles used left me with the impression I hadn't a clue what the bridge actually looked like, I just couldn't visualise it....

To be clear, I didn't read that it was TOS, I was just thinking to try it with TOS myself and see if worked. However will see if I can coax sketchup to work on this computer. I did read though that it was basically a generic ST bridge with lots of railing added in. I watched the film too ... to tell you the truth, first time i watched it, it came dangerous close to the garbage can. However ... still have it. And no, they don't give an acceptable clean, view of it. The railings are a good idea, after being "blinded by the lights" staff would need them lol ...
Yet another stage in my never ending quest to generate the "perfect" digital Lt. M'Ress.
This time around I'm employing an improvement Achronicity (aka jenelson) made upon his Kasa morphs. (He no longer sells at Renderosity, but one can contact him at Fur Affinity if one is curious about the updated set.) As you can see this version allows for the morphing of thicker toes with squared "knuckles" and built in claws.
There's yet to be any product that morphs the hands, but playing around with the scaling of the middle and final joints of the fingers, I discovered I was able to make them shorter and thicker, giving a bit more of a paw-like appearance, If i want to go "all out", I could parent a claw prop to each (now stubbier) fingertip.
Sincerely,
Bill
