  • The file is correctly placed for the content directory set-up you have, however if DS is telling you that that file is missing it may indicate that the database shows an install with Connect too and that that file isn't being found - if there is a Connect installation DS will use that in preference to a DIM/manual install.

As Richard said there is nothing wrong with having Connect point to one of your regular libraries, I just don't like it from an origanizing stand point (I am slightly OCD that way).

I don't ever use defaults but I think it was something like C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/My Connect Library.  If it wasn't there is no reason it can't be.

Edited to add:  I hate the way Connect has been implemented and only use it for one Connect only product I bought.

C:/Users/YOU/Documents?Daz 3d/Studio/My DAZ Connect Library I think - certainly it was in the personal folder not the public.

ok, i found and fixed the connect directory,,,,,,,the thing that is happening now is that after i load a figure"gen3" or others,,,,in the parameters panes lets say you switch

to add a material. it will still say that the file doesnt exist,,,when it plainly does exist and if i use "in a default lay out" the panes o the right side such as content library,,,it will get and apply the material as long i use the "merger into scene " selection in the drop down box,,,,,is this normall to always use the merege option?

No, that still sounds like a problem with the Content Management System.
