    Thank you, Headwax and Bunyip for your comments on the space opera.

    @Bunyip - your blimp image is one of my favorites.  Jabba's cousin on a green planet is about to order a space rogue to walk the plank over the pit of despair!

    @Headwax - another moving poetic image.  Can spend hours exploring.

    ha ha yes, I put teeth on my last one and it used to freak me out - i surf by myself on deserted beaches mostly - so eyes are handy :)

    kind of picked up a theme and ran with it

    Ever been chased by anything with eyes and teeth? surprise  Silene

    No I've been in the water about ten times when shark fins have popped up in visual range, luckily they have always been travelling parralle;l to me

    I have stories you don't want to hear though , the sharks are always there I never look in the water..

    I've met about three guys who have been attacked over the years - all still alive - last one was this fellow, an aquaintance to https://www.smh.com.au/sport/fanning-s-emotional-advice-to-urunga-surfer-who-survived-shark-attack-20190212-p50xcm.html

    On the brighter note, Dolphins often come up and check you out when you are surfing by yourself - they swim undernetah you and roll on their side and eyeball you - sometimes you could reach out and touch them....

    They're wild animals though - people forget that. They are also capable of running into you as they don't always loo where they are going !!!!!!!!!!!

    eg try not to laugh - wath the dolphin's head - it is showing off to his mates :)

    I've also been eyeballed from about fifty feet by a humpback who was sheparding her youngster - I tried to look very small - which I was :) and I was 'uncomfortable'.

    'Níðhöggr, the Dragon Who Gnaws at the Roots of The World Tree.' 2019, Digital ink, dimensions variable.

    According to Norse Mythology the names of the serpents are legend. Dragon, Fafnir, Jormungand, adder, Nidhogg, snake, viper, Goin, Moin, Grafvitnir, Grabak, Ofnir, Svafnir, Masked One... among them.

    From the pre 12th Century Norse poem Grímnismál.

    A hall I saw,
    far from the sun,
    On Nastrond it stands,
    and the doors face north,
    Venom drops
    through the smoke-vent down,
    For around the walls
    do serpents wind.
    I there saw wading
    through rivers wild
    treacherous men
    and murderers too,
    And workers of ill
    with the wives of men;
    There Nithhogg sucked
    the blood of the slain,
    And the wolf tore men;
    would you know yet more?

    I've left traces of the three d mesh for a bit of self reflexive fun.

    Too much Nikolai Gogol.

    This image makes me want to buy millennium dragon. Reminds me of medieval illustrations from my schoolbooks.
