Best Theme # 20, It was a Bad Night when We Lost Ralph
Artist headwax
Comments: Wow this was a great challenge! I've seen and used effects I've never had an opportunity to before, and I'm definitly going to have to go back though the WIP and see if I can reproduce some of these features that I never get a chance to. So many good entries to choose from with this cahallenge again. Varsel the owls are incredible! Very cool colouring effect.
3DAGE I was looking forward to seeing those teeth in a glass! I thought that was very clever way to spin the theme.
Entry #7 "Swinging in Starlight"
Artist: Ted Murphy (Diomede)
Elegant, fun and movement... love that line art look... Besides I used to go dancing at Starlight Ballroom. :)
Entry #10 "Going Nuts"
Artist: Dave T ( Stezza )
Great Humor, gave me a chuckle,... love the the concept which tells a great story.
Entry #18 "Peaceful Camping"
Artist: PNewhook
Well done indeed. A night out in the woods... nice depth and sky.
Entry #20 "It was a Bad Night when We Lost Ralph"
Artist: headwax
Andrew always cranks out something wonderful... thought this was NPR at first glance but it's clearly not.
Everybody did such great work!... we are all winners. Anyone who learned something new is a Huuuge winner. Note that each entry tells a story. Kevin did a wonderful job on the Northern Lights and I love space scenes and sci-fi... too bad that in the end I can only choose 4... I needed to have 26 votes this time. :)
Had to go read UB's voting instructions... didn't know if I could vote for 2 NPRs.... I couldn't make up my mind as to which to eliminate so voted for both Dave and Ted. After all Carrara Art is just that... no matter which render engine is used.
Entry #18 "Peaceful Camping" Artist: PNewhook I like very much the composition and the glow.
Entry: #12 Title: Supweme Weader Artist: Dave T ( Stezza )
Funny take on a not so funny man. Anothere piece where the composition sings - great tonal use.
Entry # 13 Title :Night Encounter Artist : Varsel
Beautiful feel to this one, nice exposure and movement. And sense of humour - unless you are the abductee.
Entry: # 25
Title: «They Come Out»
Artist: Vyusur
floating - nice assimilation and works on a few different levels - great demo of native npr too ,,, except maybe the eyelashes
Also, Really like Evil's night lights and Diomede's lets lynch them pic (and Head Shot Hollister) and also Bunyip's bat image :) and of course Ub's Uncle Humerous .
Thanks for running such a great challenge UB, and thanks to GKDANTAS and Daz :)
Oh this is so hard! I want to vote for them all... the colours are stunning, the subjects interesting, the artists all so talented... too many excellent entries. Help!
Entry #5 Artist: Kevin Wyeth (evilproducer) Title: Northern Lights Above the River Dells
Entry # 13 Artist: Varsel Title: Nght Encounter
Enty: #26 Artist: UnifiedBrain Title: Uncle Humerus Tells Us A Bedtime Story
Best Theme Entry #18 Artist: Pnewhook Title: Peaceful Camping
Thanks for voting. I know it is always hard, but our Challenges depend a lot on voter participation (as I have been learning by looking at past Challenges).
In the past, the ratio of entries to voters has been about 1:1, with most Challenges having more voters than participants. To get there in this Challenge, we need 10-15 more voters. I'm hoping that people are just waiting until the last minute. I also put out the word in the Art Studio Forum.
These are all amazing, and picking my favorites was no easy task. I'm very tempted to open up Carrara and give it another try (because, you know, I am really, really, really bad at following "from the start" tutorials.) That said...
Entry #24 The Gargoyles of Baskerville
The pose, the lighting, the clouds, the glooooow!
Artist - Vyusur
Entry #10 Going Nuts
Tickled my funny bone!
Artist - Dave T.
Entry #15 Jekyll
Deliciously creepy without over-the-top horror elements
Artist - Alberto
Best Theme #20 It was a bad night when we lost Ralph
I mean... yes, they definitely only come out at night!
Artist - Headwax
Not an easy task! Firstly, congrats to all of you for making these night time scenes so visually appealing. Night scenes are quite difficult usually. Also, I'm very impressed with the NPR renders. Major shout outs to Stezza, Diomede, wgdjohn, and Headwax for surpassing all of my expectations. Truly, everyone should be a winner here.

Very difficult, took me some time. Congratulations to all participants for the effort, the ideas and the labour (though that was the fun part, wasn't it?)
Well folks, we are headed for a very close and exciting finish! I'm not looking forward to breaking ties, so I'm hoping that more votes will make the difference.
This is the last day. Please add your vote! Many thanks to those who have responded to the call so far. You will all get a special treat at the end.

Special treat??? Oooooh.... now what could THAT be!? Silene
That may be the most awesomely geeky comment on the Carrara forum, ever.
Voting is now closed. Results will be announced shortly.
For those keeping track at home, there are two tiers, DAZ prizes and PA prizes.
Your first 3 votes determine three of the DAZ prizes (Participation, Best PR, and Best NPR). The 4th vote is separate, and determines the final DAZ prize, Best Theme.
To determine the PA prizes (Best Artist, Best Picture), all 4 votes are totaled.
No single artist can win more than one DAZ prize, or more than one PA prize. Of course, an artist can win one of each, and this is the most likely outcome.

Any other suggestions?
Bryce forum? Commons forum? R'osity carrara forum?
Will do, thanks. I just wanted to make sure that it was OK to do that.
i only know when it's time to vote in the RRRR when they post about it in the Commons.

Thanks! I'll try, work changed and it's harder to find the time. I do still play with Carrara some but not what I once did.
No pressure. Folks get busy. I fondly remember the metaball vortex. Just glad you are still about.
