I just got this email:
Attention DAZ Platinum Club Member

Our records show that you are currently paying via PayPal. PayPal no longer accepts payment for the PC Memberships. You will need to cancel your PayPal Subscription on your PayPal account. You will then need to purchase a Membership via credit card on our site, or you are at risk of losing your PC Benefits. We apologize for PayPal's change.

Please DO NOT REPLY to this email. If you have questions or concerns, please submit a ticket here,

http://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us

I did send in a ticket for them to clarify..and I also posted about it over in the PC club forums.
Here is what I posted there:
I just received this in the mail:

I have been a PC member forever and now I have to purchase a PC membership?? I dont get it..I have to now sign up and pay out 29.95 to join and then get billed?? I was just billed about a week ago for my monthly fee!! What is going on?
I cant even find in my account where to access the way my fee is taken out. I have my credit card on file here..but no where to change how my PC membership it taken out each month..gesh..I am confused here..

I then received an email that someone had replied to the posting and I now cannot access the PC club forum. I am locked out!!
What is going on! I was billed for my membership earlier this month and it was paid. Now I am locked out and forced into buying a new membership..this is NOT right Daz!!

I was locked out last week when I changed my subscription. They fixed it same day, so I was thankful.

Thank you for replying larsmidnatt..it did not set well right after I received the information about the payment method. And I cannot find anywhere how to set my credit card to pay it. I am beginning to believe they are going to try to make my purchase a join fee after I have been a loyal member for so many years!...

it just seems that way because they are so tight on support. I doubt they are trying to charge you the extra charge, but I know Daz isn't know for handling management type stuff very smoothly. Hopefully will work out ok for you fast.

Get in contact with Customer Support and they will help you. You won't need to rejoin, paying that fee, etc... Don't worry. Use the contact form and things should be worked out fairly quickly.

The way how to manage your PC membership in your account should be under My Subscriptions. But you are probably the same as me and many other members of the You Have No Subscriptions thread - although we are PC members, our membership does not show in our account and thus we are not able to manage it.

Today I logged in to find out that I no longer have access to anything PC. When I check my account, it shows that I am still active. I have a ticket in so I am hoping to hear something soon. I just received a credit today and was hoping to use it, maybe by the weekend it will be fixed.

The email sent is unclear. It should include directions on what people need to do to avoid paying the sign up fee. It also says 'buy a membership.'' How do I do that so it starts ands tops when my last one expires etc? I just renewed on the 3rd. P

Also, it doesn't say when you cancel your PP subscription you will lose platinum club benefits instantly. This happened to me and I'm paid through the 3rd of next month on my existing payment. I was just following the directions to do that, and buy another.

I re-bought the 29.95 package sent a work request in asking for a refund but altering your payment method for existing memberships should not be like this. No other vendor drops you when you are paid up through the next month, nor should they make you jump through hoops to change your method of payment.

If this is a real situation then it seems to be following a trend of pushing the envelope to see what they can get away with. Or perhaps it's just another fumble. Something that us old timers are getting numb to, and the newbies are blindly accepting as standard operating proceedure. Anybody remember when Sears & Roebuck stores went out of their way to greet you with knowlegeble clerks, like a real department store. Now they're just like K-mart but in old buildings.

Well as of today I still cannot access the Members Only forum and I , like you SereneNight, paid for my membership the first week of this month..now I have been dropped!
Daz_Kevin posted further up that I should not be required to join and pay the fee..I still have not heard anything back from Daz after submitting a ticket yesterday...maybe I will hear something *soon* It sucks tho that I am paid up for this month and I cannot access the PC club..
Oh and I forgot to mention..no..I never had anything under the My Subscriptions tab..it just has the text on there "You have no subscriptions" and that was BEFORE I was dropped too..

I never had anything under My Subscriptions after the ominous website change to Magento last year (in May, I think?), despite being a monthly subscribed PC member. I reported it to Support right away but they basicaly told me there is nothing they can do about it. And now I got this "Attention DAZ Platinum Club Member" e-mail. I am afraid that if I cancel my subscription with PayPal, I will end up just like you, Digitell - kicked out of the PC club, despite having paid for about 2 months in advance.

I sent a support ticket for price refund on February 7th and my ticket was solved yesterday. So DAZ support people seem to be even more busy than usual (probably due to sending all those #@$ PayPal e-mails...). I would not expect a reply from Sales sooner than in 2 work-days, but possibly later.

Sadly, it was not a support ticket regarding this PayPal situation :-S, it was a refund for something else. I got the e-mail only yesterday and am just considering what to do.

I was not locked out of the PC club, but that may be simply because I did not take any action regarding this yet.

I managed to raise the money for an annual membership and came on today to purchase it but my PC has been suspended and I can't get the renewal price, I thoughtpayment was due today. I can't afford the $100 so I guess I'm out of the PC; I've sent in a support ticket and am hopeing theres something that can be done, but the PC membership is such a mess and Support who used to reply within 24 hours are now taking a good 3 working days to answer - I don't hold out much help.

I had been considering joining the PC for a few weeks now as there are items I would love to have at the PC prices but after seeing how Daz has been treating long time members of the PC such as yourselves and others I decided not to join.

I remember a Daz store where I was able to reach someone right away by phone for refund/problems and now it takes normally 3 days or more. And how they really tried to make the PC as inciting and special as possible for its members as the boards used to be full of how great it was. Now it seems that Daz is brisk and cold instead of the warm friendly customer support they once were. What they fail to realize is that they can end up replacing all the older members with new ones but without fixing the problems those members may also become fed up and leave the PC. And the same applies to these forums and to shopping in the store.

I still enjoy coming here and reading the forums and browsing through the store but it's not the same as it once was and that's sad. There is still one redeeming feature of Daz that I love and that is its policy about refunds. However, with all the changes that have occurred it would not surprise me if a year from now that is changed as well.

Hi KinnieM, Thanks for responding. All these years I have paid the monthly fee to my PC membership..and the3rd of this month, I paid via Pay Pal subscription. I sent them the order number and the Pay Pal transaction number. They tell me that since now they no longer take Pay Pal payments for PC memberships that they have no record of my payment! So I am now locked out of the PC club and am told I have to pay for a membership to get it back..I would hold off on joining the PC until they get all their wrinkles ironed out ..if they ever do..

I have been a member for years and years... Daz has always treated me extremely well. I don't plan to go or stop my membership any time soon. (as long as I'm getting a paycheck :-))

There are us quieter ones out there that do not have issues with this company :-)

Well good for you Timesurfer..you must be special then. Your tune would change if you had paid them money for a membership only to be locked out and told they have no record of it..then you would be a bit poed too I bet.
