Just picked up the bots, can't wait to load them up and give them a go.

I've always been odd although I've never been diagnosed with anything in particular.  I find it a sad state that one has to have a label to be accepted no matter how odd one is.  Wish it wasn't like that...

We are all odd in our own ways, I sometimes have the impression that the expectations to be conform to a certain norm are rising and with that the need to have "reasons" for being different from that norm. I have a bright young son who has one "flaw": he hates school with a verve, school has had us all driven into madness so we finally went to test all kinds of stuff, now we have the diagnosis that he hates school with a verve... we get some thereapy to get himself better organized, because we got an understanding doc who said just take the best out of it.

i think things are getting better but for some homeschooling is a far better alternative because the learning is done at a pace that suits the child

If I could go back and do it again, I would home school my own kids.  There weren't a huge amount of options (good options) when mine started school. I think my daughter especially would have greatly benefited from being home schooled.  I think the way they teach children in the US is asinine anyway.  Very few people really learn well the way its set up.  Hands on, and playing to what a child is interested in would be far more effective than what they are doing now.

its not much different over here

its getting better as more schools become more aware of the autism spectrum and the best ways to teach those students.

In Germany homeschooling is not an option, but yes it will get better as he changes the school this summer.

Law in Germany says your kids have to attend public school or approved private school. There have been only very few cases when for very special reasons public schools couldn't provide what was needed that parents where allowed to teach their kids themselves and then had to present certain qualifications for doing so. They want to prevent kids going without education after all and parents are not trustworthy enough in general to do so. This is all only the nutshell of it, there are aspects in their reasonning that I can accept even, there have been some special religious groups who had their very own idea of education who abused the system giving the official side good footing to further limit it.

thats interesting. over here there is things in place for parents that want to homeschool their children for what ever reason. those kids still must sit the same exams as the kids who are in regular education.

My mum never took me out of school though in retrospect i would of done far better if she had

It's a tough road, I'll testify.  I've been trying to get my store moving.  It started to, then a vendor or two stopped producing.  I'm working on learning modeling so I can make some things of my own.

I think it depends on the child. From a learning perspective, I tend to agree as there are less distractions and you know as a parent what is being taught. Then again, you have parents that have no clue what they are doing, LOL. I keep seeing more and more stories of teachers that are trying to teach their own warped views or agendas to their class, which scares the crap out of me as a parent.

But I have a nephew that was homeschooled and it deeply affected his social skills and for many school is where you learn your social skills, both good and bad..

your character is looking great, love the test renders!

    Quite a frustrating day today.

wanted to get on with stuff today. got multiple projects on the go  but unfortunately today was a pain day and pain days are not productive.

The joys of suffering from chronic pain .....

So today was about watching movies and not moving much

    tomorrow will be better

Sorry you are having a bad day.  I get migraine days and I resent the heck out of the time it steals from me. I'm grateful that the muscle and nerve pain is mostly under control though.  And you are right, tomorrow will be better!

A couple years ago i had 2 surgeries on my head the second of which caused unavoidable nerve damage which now means i get pain spasms like every 3-5min. Most are small like spiders walking on skin or wasp stings but occasionally i get pain days where its just hot pokers all day which sucks to say the least. They could sever the nerve but it would leave a large portion above my eyebrow up over my head paralyzed so while i am able to bear the pain i will. Other people have worse hands dealt them
