And another.
Here are the first few panels of a story I started ages ago, then had to redo, because my hard drive died and took everything with it. (CONTAINS A BIT OF SWEARING, POSSIBLY NSFW?) Obviously the start and the story beats are a parody of a famous sci-fi franchise.
Edit: can anyone tell me how to make the pictures appear in the order I want? They are named simply Picture 1, picture 2 and so on, but refuse to appear in that order. I've tried reverse order as well, but to no avail. Edit again: turns out I was trying to post them too quickly - cheers Chohole!
Edit again! : Spoke too soon, the stupid forum is still refusing to put them in the order I want. What the hell?
Edit (once more): I'll try again, then leave it for now because I have work in the morning (why can't these things be simple - I sincerely want to smash computers to bits sometimes).
Edit: (Oh God) I have admitted defeat - do you here me, awkward forum?! I ADMIT DEFEAT! So instead I've put the pictures on my blog, and will just put a couple of them on here as an example, so they could be in whatever order this forum decides in its strange robot brain.
Blog with all the panels is here: http://moody-by-name.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/here-are-first-few-panels-of-story-i.html
And here's an old one panel thing I did ages ago.
After the death of my last computer, and the loss of all my DS files, I've now got time to get back into it. It's surprising how much I've forgotten and how quick. But it's still fun. Here's an image of a knight, with a few filters thrown in. Not sure which version I like the best.
And here's some more fantasy peeps.
Here's an old dude I rendered for practice, one with filters, one without.
I liked both the B&W strips you posted above. Good sense of humor and insight.
Thanks!
here's another practice render, one with a tiny bit of filtering, one without.
More practise renders as I get used to the new version of DS (if I can manage to post them, due to the forum being all new and stuff):
Here are my latest renders.
A few of my recent panels.
Here's a render I did, trying to see how many figures I could get in there and how crowded it would be.
Nothing to add here, except to say thanks and show appreciation for your nice work. In addition to the great art, the writing is outstanding. But you knew that already.
All these psuedo superheros. In my story as in life there are no heroes just victims and posers. Here they are: http://avu4u.com/nocturnes.html
I've started adding captions to my pictures again. That could be considered an announcement or a warning; up to you.
I've just discovered how to use reflections in my renders. So now everything's going to be reflecting all over the place! For example:
See? I told you there'd be reflections everywhere!
Here is a pic of the Punisher, chillaxin' at home.
I liked how my version of the punisher looked, so I think he'll be a regular in my renders. Here is proof you shouldn't try to mug him when he's out on a date.
Some more fantasy peeps.
Another fantasy pic. One I've clothed a character and got them how I like them, I tend to use them again and again.
I added a caption to my last render. I used GIMP, but I don't find it user friendly, and couldn't get it quite how I wanted, but at least it's readable.
Another picture, another caption. Still looking for a better way to add them though.
Found out how to use a shader for water texture, so here's my first attemp with it. (models by Herminio at sharecg, and Solcommand.
And another captioned image.
Here's a one page sci-fi thing I did. Spaceship from Solcommand, corridors from 3-d-c at share cg, some clothing and I think some morphs from Joequick also at share cg. Can't remember the rest.
I really enjoy your scenes and captions SteveM17 ththe amount of people I've told sarcasm isn't a superpower rises on a daily basis! Also, the star wars parody, genius - was that a bit harsh? Almost fell off my chair reading that!! Keep it up, I live checking in and finding new work you've posted. Oh and maybe have a look at Drawplus I've always found that good for adding captions/text to pictures - normally dirt cheap to pick up their older version once they release a new one to, worth a look at the demo to see if you get on with it?
Another one page strip:
Another one pager
Just a couple of practice/messing around renders.
