    What renderer are you seeing that in? I thought that was a problem of the past.

    That's the figure, but not the renderer? Are you seeing this in Daz Studio, Carrara, or a plug-in renderer?

    in carrara.

    no epiphanies at moment. mebbe a pizza will help 

    i'm using the cellular highlight trick, 

    issa killin me to give up on the cellular highlights, 
    mebbe can render the cellular to a tiling texture map and darken nostril area?

    in preview her arms are dark, renders okay,  chin scr'tch, something to do with the interactice renderer?

    Cool work already.

    Could the nostril glow be that you have Ambient Light set to the default (20%). This will produce an unnatural light in the nostrils.

    testing out her bending, focused on her shoulders

    i ended up buying the morph expansions and the V8 base >.<

    tried the xolani g3f skin. the 'drunk' expression smiley  inner eyelid not quite right

    Question -

    - I was able to use Collada dae to export from Studio and load in Carrara. 

    - However, the pose from Studio is not applying in the Carrara assemble room

    - even though the figure is correctly posed if I go to the animation tab in the vertex modeling room

     

    Am I missing a step?

    victoria's eyebrows, and the eyelashes are following the pose controls, but arent following the morphs. not following the V8 head shape

    basic wear isnt scaling with vicki 8

    If you need strand lashes for Carrara, it should be simple enough to grow them on the mesh, which may be the best way if morphs are proving difficult. Give me a shout if you need some.

    yeah  autfit/follow not working.  eyelashes, and victoria8 eyebrows. and clothes, especially in the shoulder area.  
    -it looks like the V8FBM isn't included in the basic wear morphs.
    guess could transfer the old fashioned way.
    it doesn't let ya scale a clothes item after it's conformed, or is there a secret way?  

     

    fail - the Victoria 8 morph.  
    it looks like a few of the toe nails aren't welded in rara's weld tolerance?
    mebbe a corrective morph to put those badgirl verts where they belong?

    the Victoria 8 body slider has the scaling baked in, when did they start doing that,
    it used to be could use the body shape slider and/or head shape slider,  and only the combo body/head slider included the scaling.

     

    on the bright side, the fiber eyebrows look pretty decent with antialias set to best.
    V8's pose presets seem to work.
    the add on body,head,expression morphs seem to work.
    the eyelashes and eyebrows follow the face rigging and pose controls.

    You are making amazing progress, I hope that there hasn't been some new technology that has been introduced under the hood that would scupper your efforts!

    the flexions are .dsf morphs, i can see them working.

    because the distortion is only the 1 foot,
    mebbe something happened when they applied symmetry to the morph?

    i've tried the V8 morph on both the rigged and unrigged version. (it doesn't happen in DS.)

    i tried removing all the formulaes, it happens with the raw morph.

    good job but I am in no hurry to use G8 as animating her difficult but if you solve it I would buy your character at least heart

    it's these 2 rings of edges.  the V8 morph is scaling her down through the floor.  

    should she be scaling up from the floor?

    i can't do anything to tweak her dsf files.

    welp, the G8 basic wear doesn't have the V8 morph included with it.

    the G3 basic wear included the V7 morph in the basic wear.  

    >.<  i just assumed it would be the same for G8. doh

    just tried a Genesis2 dress (Love Potion dress) on G8 and G3, saw the conforming dialog box come up, but dress doesn't bend with the figures.

    the Victoria 8 eyebrows doesn't include any morphs at all.

    I think it's safe to state autofollow and autofit don't work in carrara.  the morphs need to be created in DS and saved before it can work in Carrara.

    there is one bright side, conformed clothes do follow scaling inside carrara.

    i think, the big advancement is the power pose controls?
    she does use the G3 uv template, that's a help. smiley
