I just realized that some stores also have sales to go along, so this is pretty neat actually.
A few questions, first, the actual MM items are only the ones specifically shown on the promo page/email or in the PAs listed, right? Because if you just look at new items its not differentiated, but assuming its not other new items? Also is the 10% for Aiko 5 only today or all through MM? And has anyone gotten that discount to work? That was the reason I bought it the first day rather than waiting because I knew it would be on sale for awhile at least.

It does say A5 OR GH, so you don't need both.
I think it is working though. I tried just putting Adarian in my cart, and the discount is $0.83 from $8.30, so 10% as per the A5 promo.

Yes, the 10% is working. The math can seem odd, but in summary if you have 2+ MM items in your cart, you're getting 68.5% off all DO's list price and 55% off PA items list price.
That's comparable with last years MM prices as I recall.

p.s. Here's a fun piece of math. Presuming you paid $50 (it was $48.98) for A5 like I did, then it would take buying 90 $15.95 list price items (in batches of 2+) for the 10% discount to pay for itself. However, if you are buying PA items, it would take 63 to have paid for A5. So in summary, A5 was a good buy, but it's not going to pay for itself, so you'd best have wanted A5 for A5. Which is the best kind of promotion, IMO.
Lets say I want The Facility and Freak 5 Big Sweater ('cause I do) -- that's two of today's March Madness items, so I've qualified for the 50% discount, yay. Now there are other items on the March Madness product page that I want, Real Feel Pulled Sleeves T-Shirt, Destroyed City, Celestial Poses, and maybe Earthquake -- these are all showing at 30% off, but because they're on the March Madness product page they'll be 50% off if I put them in the same cart with The Facility and Freak 5 Big Sweater? And then 10% off of that because I got Garibaldi?

Huh -- not bad. No blitzing, no pig-in-a-poke "buy today for a discount tomorrow", a reasonably simple structure and good sale discounts, nice. And we started March 1st! :coolsmile:
I miss the old days of the first few Madness-type sales that I was around for (late 2005 and onward). When the main promotional items were generally around $5 a piece or less. So people with budgets could afford to participate and feel important. LOL I always wished they did more stand-alone times, but I did pick up some nice things back in those first few Fall Frenzy and March Madness sales, including some stand-alone stuff.
And we get revolving PA store sales, too. That's another draw to keep coming back and checking who's on, first. Because it does sound like those will be changing day by day.
*sigh* Which means we can expect the usual intermittent glitches over things going on and off sale all month.
(And tomorrow we'll start getting the complaints from the people who didn't realize that the 50% off for two MM items only applies when you buy them the day they come out. I *don't* expect it to work tomorrow if one tries to combine one item from today and one from tomorrow.)
Shanghai Style actually launched yesterday so it's not a MM item...it's in the last February batch. Sorry!
Will DAZ rotate stuff even on weekends? That can certainly lead to headaches come Monday.
Not on Sundays, anyway. I don't recall them doing it on Saturday, but I may be misremembering. They *might* just extend Friday's sale items offer over the weekend.
But, frankly, they tweak the rules every year, so it's impossible to say until we check tomorrow and see if there are new offerings or not.

The price is correct. Without the 10% for A5 the price is about $9.48 or the two items.

It doesn't feel like that because you're not comparing with the list price. The list price for the two items are $9.95+16.95, or $26.90.
Now compare your price with $26.90, and you'll see the discount is about 68.5%, which is right for a PC member.

A couple of things.
First, you can get to ALL the items eligible for the day by clicking a link almost at the bottom of the promo page. It's close to 800 items!!
Second, in case you didn't know about the first. It's good even if today's March Madness items aren't in your cart because you bought them already earlier today.
So if you missed something or want to look for something else you can.
I've put in a total of three orders today, and all came with the discounts.
So go back shopping, peeps. ::ducking::
I'm glad the buy this item today to get a discount tomorrow isn't going on, and the buy all required items for a bundle deal. Last year I ended up buying a lot of content that I didn't get much use out of and I could have saved my money for other things.
Anyone else notice the $0.00 items in the march madness sale section?
You end up with problem with the buy it all deals. Since there doesn't seem to be one this time around, you can buy what you will use rather than a lot of things that sit in your runtime or just never get installed.
PC items too. You don't get half off the PC item but if you put a PA item from the MM category in your cart you do get half off the PA item.

Picked up a couple things from you on my wishlist. Well, they weren't actually in my wishlist anymore because of some stupid store glitch the other day that wiped it clean, but I remembered they had been on the wishlist. So almost the same thing.

When March Madness first came out, they'd offer an item a day for .99 or 1.99. It truly was crazy and a bunch of fun.
Those days are gone forever, and March Madness has become pretty much like any sale going on here at Daz.
As far as the shoes go, I dunno. I remember one year where March Madness was all miniskirts for V4, every day.
Exactly what I was thinking! I was just remembering how much FUN it was when March Madness first came to be and they would offer an item a day for .99 or the1.99!! THOSE were the Days my friend! *sigh*..Daz used to be so much more fun..what happened??
I do hope the sales get a little more "mad", but for the moment I'm happy because I finally got DzFire's pickup truck bundle, which I've had my eye on for ages.
And if the sales are less mad overall, and I'm just more selective and only get things I really want as a result, so be it. :)

I think the madness here is likely to be mostly around the sheer volume of stuff that is being offered, as well as the PA sales that go on. They are going to be releasing 2+ DO's a day for 30 days, I believe, and likely at least one PA item each day as well. All at _significant_ discounts off of what you usually get on new items.
I admit to not being deeply tempted by any of today's items (The Facility came closest), but the stage is well set. They have a good framework for a *month of sales* and I imagine a large volume of releases prepped. I'm looking forward to it, although I admit, I'd love it if the DAZ folks were more personally involved. IIRC DAZ_Kevin had fun in the thread last year. Of course not being able to put images inline puts a crimp in the fun that was last years forum activity, also...
