I'm sorry I don't know anything about Motherboards so can any one tell me anything about this one:

    Motherboard ( ASUS Sabertooth Z77 -- 2x PCI-E 3.0 x16, 4x USB 3.0 )

    ...with my earlier specs.

    Thanks

Thanks Matty for the tip(s), I will do some (continued) research.

Does anyone have any experience with Windows 8 yet and DAZ|Stuidio, Carrara and Photoshop?

Once you get comfortable with the new interface or have modified it to your liking, I have not encountered any issue with any recent software (Studio, Poser, Vue, Photoshop) and Windows 8.

As an additional example, I have just put together a custom system with following parts:

    1 x ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II 980MHZ 2GB 6GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card
    1 x Intel Core i7 3930K 6 Core 12MB 3.2GHZ Hyperthreading Unlocked LGA2011 Processor No HSF
    1 x Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H100I CPU Cooler System LGA1155 1156 1366 2011 AM2 AM3 FM1 & FM2
    1 x ASUS P9X79 Pro ATX LGA2011 X79 DDR3 4PCI-E16 2PCI-E SATA3 USB3.0 SLI CrossFireX Audio Motherboard
    2 x Corsair Vengeance Blue CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B 16GB 4X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit
1 x Corsair Obsidian Series 800D Full Tower Case EATX 5X5.25 4X3.5 Hotswappable 2X3.5INT No PS USB 1394
    1 x Corsair Professional Series HX1050 1050W ATX 12V 87A 24PIN ATX 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply
    2 x Bitfenix BFA-ACL-30BK15-RP Alchemy LED Connect Lit Strip 30CM 15 LEDs - Blue
    1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA3 64MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Drive
    1 x Intel 520 Series 120GB 2.5IN SSD MLC 25nm SATA3 Solid State Disk Drive Retail W/ Mounting Bracket
    1 x ASUS BC-12B1ST Internal 12X Blu-Ray Reader & 16X DVD Writer Combo Drive SATA OEM
    2 x Bitfenix Spectre BFF-BLF-14025B-RP 140MM Blue LED Case Fan 1000RPM 47.7CFM 20DBA 3/4 Pin
    3 x Bitfenix Spectre Pro BFF-LPRO-12025B-RP 120mm Blue LED Case Fan 1200 RPM 56.22 CFM 18.9 dbA

This was a bit more expensive (clocks in at just under CAN$3000 with taxes, but is highly upgradeable.

You have nothing that power hungry in this rig to involve the PSU Corsair Professional Series HX1050 1050W. Are more GPUs supposed in the fiture?

Yes, indeed. There will be two more GPUs in there in a few months (two for GPU based rendering and one for the display and occasionally all three in triple SLI mode for gaming).

That is in my opinion an excellent motherboard as long as you are sure that you will not need more than two PCI slots.

...for the extra 80$ getting the P9X79Pro would be a better investment as it not only supports 64 GB of memory but also quad channel RAM which means a nice fat pipeline between the CPU and Memory.

When I was researching components for my build I ended up paying the extra for an MB that supported \Tri Channel RAM.

you also need to be aware of memory latency factors for the higher the rating the more time it takes to execute and transfer instructions.

My build has 12GB DDR3 1333 with a latency factor of 5. The RAM in the system from Newegg is latency factor of 9.

    Just my two zloty';s worth.

Well I have not been able to get back because of work monopolizing my time, but thank you all for your help so far.

I was ready to place my order for the last build I posted after making some changes but when I went back to make the changes and looked at my cart it was empty. So I tried to locate the unit I started with and couldn't find it....I am not sure what happend.

I took some time to do some research on the site I was going to order it from and found a lot of comments that this particular site takes FOREVER to build and deliver. So I took a look at a few other (reommended) sites and put the following together....

•CAS: Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid-Tower Gaming Case w/ Adjustable HDD Cage (Black Color)
    •CD: 24X Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive (BLACK COLOR)
    •COOLANT: Standard Coolant
    •CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.60 GHz 10MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011 (All Venom OC Certified)
•CS_FAN: Maximum 120MM Case Cooling Fans for your selected case
•FAN: Cooler Master Seidon 120M Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator (Single Standard 120MM Fan)
    •HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
    •IUSB: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports
•KEYBOARD: AZZA Multimedia USB Gaming Keyboard (Tried to take this off as I don't need a keyboard but could not)
    •MEMORY: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1866MHz Quad Channel Memory (Corsair Vengeance)
    •MOTHERBOARD: (3-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support) ASUS P9X79 LE Intel X79 Chipset Quad Channel DDR3 ATX w/ Remote GO!, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 3 Gen3 PCIe X16, 2 PCIe X1 & 1 PCI
    •NETWORK: Onboard Gigabit LAN Network
•NOISEREDUCE1: Sound Absorbing Foam on Side, Top And Bottom panels
    •OS: Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium [+104] (64-bit Edition)
    •OVERCLOCK: No Overclocking
    •POWERSUPPLY: 800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready
•RUSH: No Rush Service, Estimate Ship Date 10 Business Days
•SERVICE: STANDARD WARRANTY: 3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY PLUS LIFE-TIME TECHNICAL SUPPORT
    •SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
•VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)

I am ready to buy but want to be sure that I am not limiting myself to future 'upgrading'.
Aslo want to make sure this unit is not falling short somewhere or is missing something.

...If you plan to install more memory in the future, you will need to upgrade to WIn7 Pro as Home Premium only supports up to 16GB.

    Excellent choice on the MB.

If you ever intend to go into modelling and wish to learn/use Blender, you will need a keyboard as the hotkeys are real handy. I'd give away the one that comes with the system t and get a "normal" more durable one.
