...with all this goodness happening (including both Skiriki and I slowly overcoming a nasty flu bug) hopes and prayers go out to the folks of the town of West, Texas, a small town about 10 miles north of Waco.

Apparently yesterday evening there was a massive explosion at a fertilizer plant. it is thought there are between 30 and 40 casualties (many thought to be members of the local volunteer fire department already at the scene) and nearly 200 more injured by the blast which created a mushroom cloud not unlike that of an atomic explosion. The force of the explosion registered at 2.1 on the Richter scale and was felt 50 miles away.

Hmm well after hearing that, this post will be sorta pointless and meaningless, but here it is anyway:

First the Boston Marathon bombing, the fire at the JFK Library, the blast in West, TX, and tonight, there was a shooting at MIT in Boston (Cambridge I think they said). A campus cop was shot to death. Then the suspects, I think, hijacked a car and led a chase into Watertown. CNN reported that they were told by State Police that the suspects were using firearms and explosives against the police chasing them. Not the usual evasive strategy. Boston, Watertown, Massachusetts State Police and FBI were all involved. when I shut of the TV, they had just apprehended the second suspect. The first one was made to strip naked when they caught him, in case he had explosives on him. There is speculation that they may be related to the Marathon bombings, but that is not confirmed.

    Crazy!

...well finally finished inventorying everything in my RRRR submission. Guess I went little overboard with this one as there are almost 150 individual props on top of the four random items and characters. I am now certain this is what was responsible for 4.5 crashing all the time while I was setting up the scene. Rendering went without a hitch, only 16 min & change.

Will be posting to the RRRR entry thread tomorrow.

It's a hard rain falling in the early morning here. Thunderstorms were predicted, although the rain started an hour ago and I have yet to see lighting or hear thunder (not that I'm complaining).
What I thought was allergies seems to be turning into a cold or sinus infection (yay).

    Woolyloach's Texas Two-Step Lament

    (Part 1)
    I love hot wings,
    But they don't love me.
    I'm on the throne,
    On the Lone Prairie.

    The Buffalo kind,
    Are the ones for me.
    But they'll bury me
    On the Lone Prairie...

    (Part 2)
    Oh now I will sing
    Of the Buffalo wing!
    It will make me
    So sick in the night!
    And now I regret
All the wings that I et,
    I haven't died,
    But I think that I migh!t

...Morning, Feeling a lot better than the past couple days. Probably helped that I slept in until almost 1:00 yesterday after taking a second dose of Theraflu in the early morning. Woke up at 8:00 feeling rather refreshed after only about 6 - 7 hours of sleep. At the Hotspot Cafe downloading again (just picked up the SciFi Freebie from DreamLight). Finally also have Kimberly plus a number of Jack's nice little sets to play with.

I just saw some headlines that say there is flooding in Illinois and Indiana. I'm tempted to live in Chicago for a few months to see what life in the midwest is like.

Storms are coming into Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. I think the cold front is over West Virginia now. The weather radio went off with a tornado watch. eek. The winds are starting to pick up. Hopefully the power won't go out or the trees won't fall.

The temperature in Austin, Texas is 67 degrees now. The temperature is supposed to go down to 42 degrees at night.

ok, I'm going to play with Vue now.
