URGENT- Don't Double Order- Will Say Cart Empty, Unable To Process (Paypal AND CREDIT CARD) But It G

I placed an order just now (3pm, Central Time) and signed in to Paypal, got all the way through, but when I hit the final button, it said something along the lines of unable to process, cart not initialized- and set my cart back to zero. Didn't do the typical "here's your order number" etc.

BUT THE ORDER WENT THROUGH.
So if this happens, check your My Orders and see if its there. I got the confirmation email also, from both DAZ and Paypal.

So don't redo your order, you might just be doubling it!

But indeed, as I have used Paypal alot (with and without coupons) and this has not been a problem, had been fixed apparently- and I had in fact used Paypal with coupons many times just in the past three weeks, no problem. This is either affecting more people now or they fixed it and it has had a relapse. Perhaps with the Product Library launch/ new web features. And one would assume with that old post (back in October) that they would have had that issue fixed by now. (And too, if it hadn't, the forums would have been flooded with people using coupons complaining or commenting on it, which has not been the case.)

I must admit I have not seen anyone complain about this for a very long time. I do hope it is just a one off glich that you just happened to get.

I had a worse problem paying by credit card. The message I got said there was an error and I should try again later or contact them. No order appeared in My Orders and the items did not appear in my Products page so I did try again, and again a few hours later with the same result. Then I rang my credit card company to see if they were blocking the transaction but they said they were not, and that Daz had taken the money on all three attempts.

I still can't download any of the items. I have opened a ticket but since it's Friday evening now I don't expect to hear anything until Monday now. So if you get a message suggesting you should try again, my advice is don't!

I had the same thing happen to me. My CC company sent an email that my card had been charged, but I do not have an order number, so the order did not go through, but my money did.

I contacted sales support when it happened, but did not hear anything back.

I was trying to use a coupon. Everything was fine eariler this week when I used the previous one.

The thread that someone mentioned here was all about problems with coupons, but there were no coupons involved in my failed order. And I didn't think Daz did coupons anymore. All of the recent special offers have been based on putting everything into the basket at the same time.

What I was using was a code. Don't know how DAZ did "coupons" or if that was the same thing. Sorry, I probably used the wrong word, my bad. Right after MM (March Madness) they were nice enough to do some codes, depending on how much you spent, and none of us posted that we had any troubles, so that's why I felt this was a new problem. The difference in what occurred with me and with you is both the use of a code, and that I got an email confirmation from both DAZ and Paypal (even though at the time it said it didn't go through.)

At least with the new Product Library you can quickly check to see if it's there :) (Speaking of which, I just checked and mine is, hadn't done that, DUH.)

Yes, thank you, I hope so too. I have never had a problem with checkout (in eight months) So since I've luckily been problem free, this was like "uh-oh."

I didn't use a coupon or any code or anything and had the same problem. LOL it's going to be fun because I had 7 items I tried this afternoon. Tried twice 'cause I thought I put in something wrong. Neither worked. Waited 'til wee hours and tried again. No go. Then I removed everything from cart, added again. No go. Then removed everything added some back. No go. Removed all added a different one, went through. Tried various combinations and ended up getting six out of the seven. Don't even want to look at my bank statement must be a dozen pending orders in there. :(

Mine was not PayPal, it was card.

Edited to add that I got five not six of them. The pending should drop out but it's inconvenient when you use a debit card and need a balance to support the extra Pending Charges even if they never go all the way through.

OUCH, Spit! Hopefully since it wasn't Paypal, maybe they didn't go through and you won't have that mess. Did you check your order section to see if numbers were assigned? The credit card company wouldn't have charges unless there is a transaction/order number would they?

I should be okay since I have four orders for the five items I managed to get and those files came through in the DIM.

BTW, I'm using Firefox 20.0.1 which is quite recent, but I've done previous ordering using it with no trouble. Had a JAVA plugin update yesterday which locked FF, at least slowed it down horribly, so I disabled JAVA for the time being. Not the same as Javascript which is enabled.

Ups, I didn't see this thread before.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. Paid with the credit card, had the same error message. Payment went through, but the order didn't. Bank statement description also looks slightly different. The "purchased" items are still in my cart. No response from DAZ yet. I hope they can figure the problem out soon.

It has been flagged up to DAZ 3D. We are not sure if anyone will see it before Monday, but we can always hope.

DAZ is in fact looking at the store issues, I had a reply to my email. If you can give steps to reproduce that will be useful.

Richard, on mine, it was very basic. I hit checkout, signed in to Paypal, selected payment method (or whatever the next step is) and all pages in Paypal came up as normal. It was only when I hit the final button to pay that I got the "express (whatever, think it said payment) can not be initialized." Then it took me back to the DAZ site and it said items in cart 0. I had used the code (which worked when applied) for those folks who were getting discounts when they spent $40 (and before people start asking about that, it's if you were a big spender during MM, etc.)

It did take off the code amount, it did continue over into Paypal, it was just the final step that went poof. I DID get a confirmation email from both DAZ and Paypal. The items are in the Product Library.

Hope that helps. - folks should perhaps state their browser, operating system?
    Google Chrome
    Windows 7
    64 bit.

I did go through the checkout procedure, applied the rain-on coupon, set the payment to be charged to my credit card, hit the "submit the order button" and received an error message something like "there was a problem with the payment, please try later again". I logged out and logged in again and my 12 items were still sitting in the card (and still are btw). The payment went through however, a pending hold with the description DAZ 3D #2 041913. That's it pretty much.

    I use Windows 8, 64bit
    IE 10

Newjade- if any of those items are on sale, go up to HELP>Contact Us> and submit a support ticket so you have documented that you are to get the sale price. DO IT NOW if you haven't. You will need the product name, product number and the sale price/percent off. If the sale ends, they will honor that for you.

Thanks for the advice. I did submit a ticket yesterday around lunch time, I also talked to somebody on the phone but she couldn't help as she didn't know what was going on and also didn't see an order number. I took a screenshot of the cart and I really hope I still get sales prices when this issue will get resolved after the weekend. The irony is that I do have a lot of homework on my desk right now and my husband says it serves me right for wanting to play with my new toy (SWAM's cute hair set) instead of writing my essays. LOL. He might have a point there... .

Ack. I had the same thing happen to me. I now have two charges for a failed $35.45 order. No, further digging shows there are two charges for the failed $35.45 order and a pending charge for the same failed order.

Clearly, that error message needs to be changed because it instructs you to try to place the order again.

I updated the forum thread title to include "and CREDIT CARD" as it apparently isn't just a Paypal problem.

The charges did go through with my debit/credit card even though the transaction completely failed on DAZ's end and there is no transaction number associated with the three charges. There is also no order in my DAZ account, I did not receive a confirmation email any of the three times, and ... obviously, there are no products listed to download.

In my case, the products are still in my cart. I attempted to place the order twice Friday, and once Sat morning. Which is why there are three charges. The Sat order is pending because ... it's Saturday.

I also was using the $10 rain coupon.

I've requested my credit card be credited for the three failed orders. But this also means that I will not be placing another order this weekend.

Lesson learned. Never attempt to resubmit a failed order ... even if the store message tells you to do so.

I was able to purchase a 1.99 item this morning without trouble. My other order, however, still remains a mystery. I do use a brand new laptop, about 3 weeks old. Other threads suggest it might be a java issue. I did install the latest java this morning and I don't think I had any Java on my laptop before as I couldn't find it and don't recall having seen it on the update list.

yeah, I read about the java issue, the update- I have mine turned off and have not had an update.
I just got an email from Britney about a different matter- she is working today- Sunday. So you may hear from her.

No, it's vouchers that they don't do anymore. They have coupons all the time.

This is disturbing, because I was thinking of using my PC coupon during the DAZ Originals sale this weekend. :-S

and Rdna and there is all good.
I hope Daz look fast what the problem is.

Well, I guess I lose. Actually, DAZ3D loses...another sale. Maybe they'll extend it because of all the troubles people were having. We'll see.
I was going to get the Genesis breast morph fixer thingy. I can wait.
