Welp. 4.6 is now officially out.

Yeah. I wonder how many more resources it uses than 4.5. I also wonder how thoroughly it was tested.

In the mean time, now my account says next payment for the PC is on the 17th. Before it was the 16th. It says annual, and I'm hoping against hope (and the laws of probability) that they don't try to charge my credit card for that...I will take quick action if they do.

    Dana

i think ... you'd prolly have to do the properly cancel procedures to prevent charge transaction.

Well, since my annual membership was paid with PayPal, not my credit card, for several years...I'd expect that they not touch my credit card. And I think that is a reasonable expectation. I have things to do today, I won't be back at my computer and/or phone until at least mid afternoon.

I've been making morphs from bulk saved geometry deforming stem, leaf and flower UV groups. Is easy to deform with gradients in LW, you would need to use magnetism or drag with falloff if Wings supports it :)

If there's a valid payment method when the renewal is due it will take it - how would it know not to? If you paid with PayPal, and haven't cancelled it with PayPal, then it will be down as a recurring payment and probably will be allowed through.

    bulk saved geometry? hd'scr'ch

plans to try it with the Poser grouping tool and auto group. just want a lil wobble when a fairy lands on it. :)

wonders if all the 4.6 d/ls are killing the servers.

sigh again, back again, refresh again, submit again.

I just load stuff into poser and check the items I want to export to LW, they mutate into one object but with the UV groups intact - stem, leaf, flower etc just what you need to animate a garden full instead of one at a time :)

    kinda like this

A word of warning, that Cancel button is instantaneous, cancels PC membership altogether, regardless of what has or has not been paid, and does it the moment you use the button.

i don't think the autocharge waits 'til the time is up, either. happens before the bell tolls.

    First impressions of DS4.6.
Is faster. In just about every way.
3Delight is faster and renders even seem higher quality to these old eyes.
Subsurface scatter base shader is pretty awesome.
As soon as I get something post-worthy I'll show it.

As to stability, I had one crash, but I hadn't done a system reboot in a week. No problems since rebooting.
I'm pleased so far. And the price was right. :)

Daz must be getting hammered - product downloads are taking forever to start, and then they're slower than molases in Maine in Winter. :bug:

Just have to keep trying, I guess. That's my complaint. :blank:

Non-complaint: Vacation starts tomorrow, no work until next Wednesday! We're talking bbq, beer, and dancing girls! :cheese:

Yep. Everybody is trying to download 4.6, I think.
It's even borking up the Forum and Store.

i was watching BigBangTheory online lastnight.
    bombarded with commercials.
one started for joint back pain, take the step, sounds good at first, til it starts the side effects. suicidal, yellow eyes and skin, liver failure - whiskey tango foxtrot - glass of wine or shot of irish dulls the ache, thank you very much.
the car commercials don't show you the car features, it's all about the lifestyle the car will bring.
the phone whizbang'mercials, zombie apocalypse with people not watching where they walk

If you've listened carefully to their advertisements, this arthritis medication lists DEATH as a side-effect. Yep. Death.
That's one way to stop arthritis pain.
    From the product's own website:

    http://www.celebrex.com/default.aspx

BTW, I once had this medication prescribed for my pain. It didn't help me.

...well with the exception of loading some scenes. Took some time to open my Leela & Tracy Aslan Court scene. I'm told it is because of the new Open SubDivision feature they first introduced in the 4.5.2 beta (which I never installed).

...precisely why I won't take it. Particularly at my age. I'd like to think (and hope) I have a few good years left ahead of me.

Many of the other prescription Arthur meds also have very unpleasant side effects that are worse to deal with than the achy joints Sometimes the "cure" is worse than the illness it is supposed to treat.

I'm with Misty, old fashioned meds (like that shot of "Irish"or in my, case wodka) work just as good and help me sleep better.
