    I vacuum my dogs. That is, when I can catch them and hold on to them long enough. Never tried it with a cat.

    Our dog and cats do the 100 yard dash to run away from the vacuum.

    Good luck with keeping a cat in the same room as a running vacuum cleaner. I've seen them phase through walls.

    We had a thick-furred cat who LOVED being vacuumed. Especially during hot summer days. She'd flop in front of the closet where the vacuum cleaner was kept and she pawed the door 'till someone brought it out.
