Why would anyone want to kill a slug? I like slugs.

Why would anyone want to kill a slug? I like slugs.

    From Wikipedia:
"...Slugs can feed on a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. This includes flowers such as petunias, chrysanthemums, daisies, lobelia, lilies, daffodils, narcissus, gentians, primroses, tuberous begonias, hollyhocks, irises, and fruits such as strawberries.[14] They will also feed on carrots, peas, apples, and cabbage that are offered as a sole food source..."
So they can be a problem in flower and home food gardens.
And some people think they're kinda icky because they're squishy and slimy. But that's not the slug's fault, they can't help it.

Did you hug your slug today?

Where was it you said you lived Kulay. I can parcel up about half a hundred of them and send them to you if you like. They seem to thrive up here in the cool damp mountain air, and I would far rather have flowers and vegetables in my garden than the slugs. I don't spend tinme and good money on the garden just to feed the slugs, I have little enough of both to spare.

I think of slugs as homeless snails.
For the record, I don't think that's funny either.

Slug pug reminds me of "slug bug", a game I played with my brother on long car trips when we were kids. The first one to see a VW would say "slug bug" and punch the other on the shoulder. You weren't supposed to hit back until you saw another VW first.
My brother is six years older than me, so I said "Ow!" a lot. :D
