The Search
The silence was eerie as she continued deeper into the abandoned ship, searching for an artifact that was supposed to be hidden there.
Nice.
U.N. Power Armor: Female
Mech v Kaiju
Mars Patrol
Pardon me sir, but something about this looks weird. Like cut and paste.
Doesn't look rendered - as if that's a thing.
When I did comics from still images, I used to cut things out in photosop and if I didn't feather the selection I got clean, sharp edges.
This looks like that. The DOF of the ground passing by as a blur looks....I dunno...
Even the shadows seem right, but feel wrong. Could be - my mind playing tricks on me.
Seems like you're doing something...different from what you normally do.
You got a secret behind this one.
Do tell.
Although this is one complete scene, I rendered the ground and the aircraft seperatly. I put them together as sperate layers in Photoshop. I used the motion blur filter on the ground. There is Martan dust/atmo on the very top layer. There is also a motion blur layer of the aircraft uder the clear version, but it doesn't show very well in my opinion. I did raise the Bump Map values on the aircraft's textures. I did my usual post-work on the aircraft, but maybe the bump map values are what's bothering you? With out the bump map values raised, the textures looked too dull to me I don't know, I thought it came out well.
It could be the model itself. It could be that the angle that makes it look ...thinner ...maybe.
Yeah, it's the nose area that looks cut. It's probably just me.
This fighter looks different from different angles. It's profile is unique and in this render, there is added armor on the nose (assulat armor). Looking at these mages, you can see how different the nose looks from diffferent angles.

Pacific Rim: Saber Athena
Yeah, it's the angle.
I thought the first Pacific Rim did the most challenging thing and made scenes at night, in the rain.
And they killed underwater as well.
Haven't seen the second one yet.
I'm counting down for King of Monsters.
Guardian Mecha, mrk II
Might want to peep this.
2D Postwork Planets free
This is Drew Spence from the Dynamic Universe and I am presenting a free package of 2D planets and space scenes for your post work use. The resolution for the full scenes is 3840 X 2160. A much larger set is available in the post work series I presented for Digital Art Live magazine. It can be found in the Daz store under Digital Art Live.
I saw that on DA.
An attempt at doing Alita Battle Angel with Sakura 8. I might try again once I get to know the character and source material a little better.

Robotech: Super Veritechs
Truly captures how the explosions in Macross/Robotech were depicted as round balls of fire.
Well done.
Took me awhile to get those resources for the explosions.

That water and the ripples look insane.
