I think, it's just one propeller (disc), where you apply the mat for the blur or static. The static mat is applied by default.

ok, i'll make some time to do a quick motion blur tut for DAZ Studio users... once you see how easy it is, you'll suddenly be looking for propellers to animate, hehehe

Love the model, but don't know, how to get the blur effect of the propellers. Is there a special morph dial or prop I didn't see? Thanks for your advice. I am using Poser on a Mac, if this info helps...

You're not missing anything, I did my render in DAZ Studio with the motion blur option checked in the render settings and rotating the propeller blades using the animation timeline to determine the amount of blur.

I'm afraid I don't use Poser, but I'd imagine there's a similar option in it.
I wasn't aware Motion Blur could be used on s separate element in the scene wold have made things a lot easier. Had to do the effect on six props as three of the aircraft were flying in my scene. The Prop blur mat I used was from a freebie of a MiG-3 as it also had three blades. After parenting them all, had to zero out the opacity of the spinners. A lot of work for a simple effect. I'll have to experiment with the Motion Blur option.

Hehe, punk is everywhere - it's more a (non-conformist) lifestyle than a movement. It's about how do you do/celebrate things in an unusual way.

Enjoy! And thanks for all your replies.

    - Teapunk
    - Tankpunk
    - Electricpunk
    - Footballpunk
    ... your choice...

...such unusual "punk" societies in RL that I have seen.

"Teapunk" Actually rather popular where I live. A number of exclusive, tea shops operate here and there is a definite tea drinking culture which prides themselves on proper brewing and serving of the hot (or cold if you prefer) leafy infusion. "Tea in a bag boiled at 100°C? Are you serious man?"

In a similar vein, here we have a strong "Beerpunk" community which has grown from humble beginnings over the last three decades to become one of the region's major industries. There are now more micro breweries in the area than one can count using all fingers and toes making Portland the new "Beer Capital of he US" (move over Milwaukee WI). A "pub crawl" here can be quite challenging if not even downright dangerous as just about every neighbourhood has it's own small brewhouse (there are two just a short walk from my flat and I'm in an uptown area) . This has led to Portland and the surrounding area being given the nickname: "Beervana". The last weekend of July has one of the biggest brew fests on this side of the pond which takes up the entire waterfront and lasts for four days. There is also (slightly) a smaller Spring and Winter brewfest as well.

A recent offshoot is "Whiskeypunk" as a number of micro distilleries have popped up in the city and surrounding area. These are not "rot the gut" bathtub or "secret still" concoctions that might cause blindness, but finely crafted whiskeys, gins, brandies, and yes even (my favourite), potato wodkas which compare with many of the world's finest spirits. They are best to be savoured straight, not adulterated with other ingredients or even ice (ordering a "chilled" shot though is more appropriate as it doesn't become watered down")

"Footie (Football) punk" A way of life among many Ultras of FCs throughout the UK & Europe. The local US league team here in Portland has a fan club (bordering on what could be considered true footie hooligans) called the Timbers Army who are quite a rowdy bunch. The are well travelled, the core of the group often following the team to away matches on other clubs' pitches. Many pubs here also have special happy hours on match day. and you see many people out and about sporting the colours of the home team whether it's a match day or not.

"Cigarpunk" Yep, another unique society which has grown here in my hometown. While smoking in general has been banned in all business establishments from the workplace to cafes, restaurants, & pubs, there has been a small allowance made for "Cigar Bars". These places (usually very small pubs under a certain size) are havens where men and (yes) women can gather to pull the latest acquisition from their pocket humidors, light up and compare colour, wrap, aroma, band, etc.. Usually these establishments also pride themselves in serving top shelf whiskeys and ports to complement the smoking experience (one such place near where I live which is not much bigger than my flat has a surprising array of Small Batch Bourbons and Malt Scot's Whiskeys that is more comprehensive than what many larger pubs offer).

...hmm, maybe Portland should consider joining the Commonwealth as we seem to have a few things in common.

...thank you very much. That would have save me about an hour of positioning, scaling and parenting in the pic I described above.
