Wonderful renders. I am trying my hand at a pinup for the guys in the Maintenance department here at my work. Now I have something to aspire towards although I fear I Have a long way to go * :-) * please keep posting.
I'm not generally a fan of pin up art. Well, I am but like variety and realistic clothing. However, yours are very well done. Just out of curiousity, is Octane a render similar to Lux? How does it compare and how do you use it with Daz?
That's flattering to hear my work is something to aspire towards *cheesy smile*
But don't fear the path, if you are having fun it's an enjoyable experience that others may appreciate as well. its nice of you to try to create art for others, you are much nobler than I. I've only done a handful of commissions or requests because my mind really isn't wired around making stuff for other people.
I'm a selfish artist *smile*
But i'll post new stuff in the future when appropriate, based on what I'm working on now it won't be any of my current projects LOL *cue maniacal laughter*
First of thanks for the kind words.
I used to be big on variety, and I used to hate fantasy clothing. Something snapped one day and I started to work on pinups a few years ago and ended up not changing gears. Now I just focus on trying to master that narrow field (in my spare time as a hobbyist lol). But I shoot for some variety within that subject. But I hear what you are saying completely.
I use the Octane render plugin at the moment, and I have used Lux/Reality in the past. Octane requires a CUDA card and renders fast, where Lux is not particularly fast but allows you to use just about any machine and do network rendering. There are a lot of differences between the technologies that have been discussed in a few threads on this forum. I haven't looked at any of the threads in a bit but you probably could find out a lot just in the forums alone.
My call out would be while I really love Octane, the plugin is definitely beta at the moment. The standalone renderer however has been stable for a long while.(even so I stick with the plugin because its a huge time saver) But if you don't have a CUDA card it's a moot point anyway.
Here is one thread specifically for the Octane plugin for Daz studio if interested.

*whistles* I remember now why I didn't get Octane. It is nearly $400 to get the plugin and the render licenses. It is amazing but I'd have to have a way to make it pay off to make that worth the investment. I wish I could do some kind of payment plan!
Love that face.
Love that face too.
While I'm the type to be mildly annoyed by some of the clothing in the digital stores, I will say that I really like the variety in skin tone and body type larsmidnatt has in his images. Also like the fact that the art is actually colorful and there's more life than the dour pouty faces of some other pinups.
Thanks for the feedback :) LOL @ the dour pouty faces. I've always been a fan of Boris Vallejo and I think that might be my influence when it comes to color. More recently I've been enjoying Genzoman and similar artists on dA and getting inspiration from them.
your ladies are gorgeous! full on sexy and just enough sweet, thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Here's Woodland Fairy (2013). She's a remake of a render I did last year.
Thank you for sharing your art Lars. That is the type of renders I would have liked to create, if only i had the time.
LOL luv the magazine one
@Ledhead thanks, hope it all works out for you.
*smiles* Glad you like.
There is some gorgeous work in here! I might be gay, but I still love a good pinup. Also I must admit, it's always nice to see someone using my shaders. :3
Thank you :) And thx for the shaders. the community needed them.
Thank you!
