We are really excited for the release of our new figure Gia, based off the Genesis 2 Female. As excited as we are for the release, we are more excited to see what the DAZ Community can do with Gia. We'd love to see what you've come up with so feel free to post your renders of Gia to this thread. We will be giving out gift cards for exceptional renders. Here is a render to get things started.

For discussions about Gia see this thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/25766/

You might want to sticky the two threads you started. They're apt to disappear before people even get to see Gia hit the store.

Okay, so clearly I have no willpower. Got the pro bundle if only for all the nice outfits and the extra texture sets. Here's a simple render with Gia using default materials.

My first render of Gia with default materials dressed in Sheriff clothes. Also used Xanadu hair.
Rendered in Daz Studio 4.6 Pro.

First one had to be Gia with Gia hair (well, I did actually try Xanadu to begin with, but that render crashed pretty hard, LOL). Added slight breast adjustment along with some tweaks via the "Clothing Breast Fixes For Genesis 2 Female".

Maybe when Mathilda was a few years older, she changed her name to Gia...

Below is a Daz Studio 4.6 Pro render of Gia Nyssa dressed in Club58 dress.
    Also used Nightfever hair.

Gia in DzFire's Behind the Neighbourhood alley, using Neomi textures by FWArt and DAZ3D, Nightfever hair by Valea and DAZ3D, Sherriff boots by Sarsa, Val3dart and DAZ3D, Pants, bangle (used Gemologica shaders on this) and money belt from The Tourist by Predatron, Sports Bar and glasses from The Jogger by Oskarsson and DAZ 3D.

Wasn't wholly happy with the pose, so flattened the foot, plus added a specular distant tied to the main light

Does anyone have any good comparison pics of her and Victoria?

The blond on the left is G2F with Body Builder 0.5. The red head on the right is Gia. To my eye it looks like Gia has more arm muscle definition and less leg muscle definition.

Great work so far! I'm really impressed with the quality of renders that have been put together in such a short time (<12 hours). Keep up the good work, and keep those renders coming!! Remember we'll be giving away gift cards for our favorite renders.</p>

What skins were used? Wouldn't a true comparison utilize similar skins, as in same skin tone? Are there any skins that can be used for both? G2 is very fair and Gia is much darker.

Both are the default skin. The G2F skin is the Bree skin which uses UberSurface. The Gia default skin uses the Sub Surface Shader.

I could use the Gia skin on G2F. The Gia skin uses the Gia UVs, but if you own Gia you can use Gia UVs on any G2F based character.

I'm at work now, so it will be some time before I can try anything different. Lighting could be better too, but I was in a hurry on the way to work.
