Lindsey: how do you get your stuff to look like that? ANYTHING I autofit to genesis gets weird pitting on the underside-of-the-breast area, be the clothes for V4, M4, A3 (I have the gen3 iconic shapes), etc. and the clothes always look pointed in spots. (4.5, BTW)

I dunno, I just let Autofit do it's thing and hope for the best. I'm using 4.6, but I don't know if there were any improvements with Autofit. The Autofit conversion if far from perfect though, as you can see from untextured clothing on Genesis (left) and M4. There are issues in the pants crotch, shoulders of the vest and some kinking on the vest on the lower right. Dark colors seems to hide a multitude of sins along with post work in a paint program.

There was no subdivision applied in this image, but I did subdivide the clothing and change the subdivision to Catmull-Clark (Legacy) as Jaderail suggested, but I see no improvement in these three problem areas.

The crotch area can probably be fixed using smoothing especially if you have show hidden dials on. Start by changing th smoothing style to generic. I normally find changing the weight to .7 will also help with lots of things and adjust smoothing and collision until you get the result you want.

The other solution that might work is to apply the smoothing brush in the weight editor to the area affected.
