I have ran into a problem with the Planetary Smuggler. He comes with four fingers and toes. The fingers I can deal with, but I found the feet are causing a split in the shoes. There is no separate body or head morphs for the character, and I looked at the promos and tried every outfit listed and each of the shoes split because of the four toes. I own pretty much every morph package for Genesis 8 Male and Female, but could not find anything that would fix this. Does anyone have a suggestion? I have no idea how the PA was able to show the character with normal looking shoes in the promos.

    Thanks ahead of time,

    Mary

    PS, love the renders!

  • If you're comfortable with the geometry editor you could edit the feet/toes out of the morph, save/export it as an OBJ, and then load it as a new morph. I've had to do that on occasion with some of my characters because clothing goes wonky trying to conform to some body parts.

Something must have gotten busted. That is set up to account for that. I will look at submitting a fix.

Very sorry for the glitch. Last minute renaming broke something. If you merge this in it should fix the shoe issue. Submitting it as a fix now.

Did a Test render of the Forrestal using the detailed model of the Enterprise and the Ghost Lights by Kindred Arts along with some effects testing.

  • The Imperium will rise again!

here are my Romulans used a mix of influences on them, their physical look is based on TNG Rommies while they have a slight green-ish tint to their skin often seen in DS9. Their uniform pattern is supposed to resemble the TOS sashed uniforms (though need to play with the spec maps!)

Also have a request does anyone know of a daz subtile version of the Delta Flyer? ive tried a couple of sources but links seem to be dead :(

There's one at TrekMeshes in .max and .lwo formats, so that'll need conversion. I thought I remembered at least one at Foundation3D as well, but their resources archive/store seems to be down for maintenance while they migrate to a new server. All that's up right now is the forums.

I am in becrogglement — that was wonderful! And the salute at the end was perfect!

Edit: on second listening... did half of the audience join in?

Thanks for that.  Really good.  I love the music in the original series, IMHO it was never matched in subsequent Star Trek. Early TNG had some good music but for some reason after a season or two stopped trying and started using the blandest stuff imaginable and I think the music in the follow on series was never all that important or memorable.  But the original show had acces to a full orchestra and they used it to such good effect.

Anyone know what's up with Foundation3D? The last time I looked there was nothing except the forums, and when I checked just now, there's just a "System Error" message.

  • I got the forum page, but could not log in.

    From their forums:

"As for resources, they will be back. The store will not be back and the galleries will be handled through portfolios. That means some portions of the forums themselves will change as we had sub forms trying to handles features. Those will no longer be needed. So, we will be streamlining the forums to some extent. Just giving you a heads up as I can see at least two sub forums which will no longer be needed."

They are completely over-hauling their site

Bluto, you work in Poser, right?

Want an "imperial/TMP" Klingon?  Why not opt for Dodger's freebie at ShareCG?

    https://sharecg.com/v/94836/browse/11/Poser/Klingon

The material settings are optimized for Poser11.3, but if you run an earlier version, those nodes can be altered.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Well Bill ,I do have it and I do use it and quite a serviceable guy he is ,however it really doesn't help me out if I want to compose a scene with more than one Klingon that all don't look the same
  • RedfernRedfern Posts: 1,598

Ah, well, that does make sense.

I just didn't know if you knew about Dodger's figure, so that's why I suggested it.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

thank you Bill not to worry but I think you realize that both you and I have been around long enough to know about dodger

Oh, excellent! I got a few old .obj freebies of the Travel Pod way back when, but they never looked quite right and none of them had a proper interior. This has a few differences from the standard model, but it looks great.
