Thank you!
I have just started experimenting with Headshot in Character Creator 3 to create avatars of the TMP characters using imported Daz3 uniforms so I am really interested in seeing the results of your efforts. Importing shoes is proving to be a nightmare so I might have to look for CC3 alternatives.
I did actually use a GGI Grace Lee Whitney with a layer of Deepfake for my lockdown fan edit project and I'm toying with the notion of using CGI Kirk and Rand for the long shots (using iClone7) to try and get some additional movement. It would be really fun to have some options with the standard uniforms too.
I lack the digital art skills to try anything too ambitious myself, although I confess a decent CGI Memory Wall is something I am very tempted by...
Wow, that's pretty cool. Nice work!
Thanks! It started as a project to just stitch the extra dialogue from the Special Longer Edition into the Director's Edition but when I ripped the missing scenes off the DVD extras, I started to wonder if I could do anything with the Memory Wall scene. Since Spock is off on his own in a different spacesuit, I had to take a still of Leonard Nimoy's original spacesuit and paste Grace Lee Whitney avatar inside the faceplate.. She has really bad CGI hair though so I could not get away with it without a helmet on.
I couldn't spend too much time focused on her or it would become obvious that the suit is a static image. I don't think the Daz3 suit will look similar enough close up but I might get away with it for a long shot.
Another WIP
Star Trek Discovery Tilly. Since I did the TOS crew I decided to go ahead with the other crew I currently have reference models of all of, USS Discovery. So far I've fully completed Tilly and have made progress on Georghio and Lorca.
Work in pogress: my conversion of the Luna Class mesh by David Metlesits to .pp2, the U.S.S. Titan
Seta here! Hello.
Star Trek fan here. Favorite series: DS9
I'm a new Daz user, beginning last week. I got it to create an online persona of myself. I also want to use it to create a Star Trek character for roleplay purposes. I'm looking for two things at the moment.
1.) Bajoran nose ridges
2.) DS9 era Command uniform (preferable the early season one, but either will be fine)
If anyone can help me find these, I'll be very happy. I use Genesis 8.1. I'm willing to pay for these if they aren't very expensive.
I may consider a Star Trek Online uniform, depending on which it is.
Looks good. I'm impressed with the uniform. It's probably the most difficult of the Trek uniforms. (I made textures for M4 and V4, not as nice as yours, and it was a much bigger pain than any other uniform I've attempted.)
I recall hearing production on DIS was delayed, because of difficulties producing the complicated uniform costumes.
A lot of the existing Trek stuff is for M4 and V4, since they've been around so long. But I think you can use them with Genesis. I'm a Poser user, so I'm not sure what's required. You might have to buy something.
There's this morph:
https://www.sharecg.com/v/44562/gallery/21/DAZ-Studio/Bajoran-Human-hybrid-for-v4
The ridges don't go quite as far up as they should, which is probably why it's labeled a hybrid. Might be good enough, though, or a base you can use to work from.
There's a lot of uniforms out there. Most for older versions of Genesis or M4/V4, but you should be able to use them. Most of them are textures for clothing for sale at DAZ. Like this:

I like the ones based on the Courageous and Valiant clothing packs. Not just because I'm a Poser user, but because those outfits have a lot of versatility. A lot of other textures are made for bodysuits, so are skintight, when the uniforms weren't.

ShareCG has a lot of useful free stuff for Trek. There are other uniforms. First season DS9, you might want to search on Voyager, so you don't get the gray-shouldered later uniform. There's combadge and rank pin props, phasers, tricorders, etc.
There's also Star Trek Online stuff there, if that's the way you decide to go.
One warning: free stuff can be glitchy. Hey, it's free. Sometimes the materials don't apply correctly, or the path name is wrong. If you can't figure it out yourself, ask here and someone will probably be able to help you.
Here's Kira, put in Janeway's uniform.
The uniform textures, ridge morph, earring, rank pips, and combadge are all from ShareCG.
Bridge Crew Uss Divergant
Still very much a work in progress but...
Having some trouble with Pike and Number One but as you can see I've got some of the Discovery Crew. Even tried a hand at L'Rell.
Looks good! But where's Grudge?
The Queen needs to be represented :)
Bought RawArt's "TechnoBorg" for 60% off in DAZ's Memorial Day sale. It's an older product, for V4/M4, but useful. (Clothing not included - that's one of the SF suits by Xurge.)
I'm kind of surprised there aren't more Borg textures and such available. There used to be a nice Borg Queen freebie available, made by Anton, I think, but it's no longer available. I thought for sure someone would have made a Borg Queen catsuit texture for the DAZ bodysuit, but apparently not.
So... just so you all know:
https://sharecg.com/v/97702/browse/11/Poser/Edosian#
also I put up a Krill from The Orville a few days ago. Trek in spirit at least.
Wow. This forum is jank as hell on iphone. Hey DAZ, 2007 called and wants its software back!
(note: upon moving to the computer, the page is a little janky even here, because it keeps the previous uploads uh... "uploaded" (as in in the "post this with this" part) after posting which seems like a security issue maybe... DAZ QA should look at this)
OK let me try this again on a desktop machine...
Edosian, aka Lieutenant Arex, from The (Original) Animated Series, up at ShareCG now, for free. Fully rigged standalone figure (kinda has to be in his case), with expression and phoneme morphs and clothes.

Krill from The Orville. Sure, it's not Star Trek, but kinda it kinda really is, too, let's just admit. Requires the 3D&D Klingon, which is also up there for free. Includes clothing, textures, and a separate Krill CR2 (otherwise containing everything in the 3D&D Klingon) with the up-to-date Krill morph activated and memorised.
https://sharecg.com/v/97692/view/11/Poser/Krill
In case anyone doesn't know about the other Trek stuff I have up free in there:
* The 3D&D Klingon. Standalone figure includes assorted morphs including full phoneme, face adjustment, and expressions and various near-klingon character morphs, textures, the typical TMP-TNG era outfit, a TNG-era disruptor pistol, Bat'leH, and hair (head and facial all in one).
https://sharecg.com/v/94836/view/11/Poser/Klingon
* Borg Drone, for the 3D&D Klingon. Includes textures and morph in its own CR2, clothing/implants in separate conforming CR2. (You still need the default klingon for the OBJ file and some of the textures, though).
https://sharecg.com/v/94858/view/11/Poser/Borg-Drone
* TOS Klingon for the 3D&D Klingon, includes MC6 material set and textures, TOS-style hair and facial hair, TOS klingon clothing, and TOS klingon disruptor pistol.
https://sharecg.com/v/95942/view/11/Poser/Klingon-TOS-for-the-3DD-Klingon
* 2341 issue (TNG season 1) starfleet uniform for Elizabeth 2, my standalone (and also free) general purpose female figure also on ShareCG.
* NSEA Protector (Galaxy Quest) uniform for Elizabeth 2. Not trek, but almost Trek.
* Planetary Union uniform for Elizabeth 2. Also not Trek, but almost Trek
There's a travelpod in the Celestia Motherlode. I think it's 3DS format, and much higher resolution than that picure appears to be. (OTOH It might be in CMOD format, which just means you have to write a program that reads the obscure Celestia CMOD format and write it out as something else. I mean, that's what I did for Deep Space Station K-7.)
OMG, it's Arex! Thank you!
I am also working on a Kelvin Klingon...
Of course! No worries!
Also working on some weird bar...
WOW @Dodger you have been busy.
Lol. The problem is I'm out of work and a pandemic isn't the best time to be looking for a new job, so I unfortunately haven't been busy, thus all this stuff B^)
Damn! Well with things starting to swing back towards normal I hope you are able to find something, I remember using your stuff back when I started working with Poser 6 so many years ago. I love your lightsaber and weapons props.
Sorry to hear, hopefully things will pick up for you. Thanks, as always, for sharing your talent.
