Ed3D - cool modeling in Blender.
@ ed3D: with some more steps this stair can reach heaven
ed3D : Very nice stairs ! Thank you for your comment.
_well, perhaps it could_
mermaid010, adbc, Henryhor: Thanks very much
@ Jamahoney: Great idea and well done.
@ ed3D: Very nice staircase. Let's see what you make of it.
@sray... Reaching the Atlas...very cool image.
@jamahoney... Cassini at Saturn... very cool great image. It's Full of People is very interesting... I've never seen Bryce like this.
@adbc... Horizon in Fire... Sadly a reality here on the West Coast... a really great image...
@ed3d... very nice modeling in Blender which I don't understand at all...
Here is my second entry... Hopefully not beyond the Horizon, but...
Title: The Reprehensible Use of a Maniac's Power
M4-Daz, Steampunk Office- Renderosity, antique desk, writing desk accessories and potted palms from the Internet...
mtnmen - I can imagine a certain guy to whom the hand could belong. Not exactly a nice scene but nevertheless superbly done.
Was'nt going to enter this challenge, short of ideas after seeing all the excellent entries.
Did come up with this though.
Looking Back From Beyond The Horizon Of Another World.
mtnmen: Let's hope this event is still very, very, very far behind any time-horizon; well made scene.
StuartB: Yet another scary scene.Very impressive with the green skull against the purple coulds.
Cheers, Drachenlords
Thanks, Mtnmen...and loving the button-bomb work (if that doesn't sound pessimistic)
Stuart, I like the second set of rings on the planet
Jay
drachenlords: thanks kindly _See Attachment_
mtnmen: good view of the subject
_thanks, Blender does have that UI
- not like Maya or these others_
StuartB: unsual and well done
@ mtnmen: Scary idea, but well done.
@ StuartB: A horizon that looks back? Absolutely great idea and well done. These double rings around the planet are cool.
@ ed3D: Very nice Starg Gate and interesting light. Very good.
Thanks very much, you're all very kind.
I have a few favorites again in this challenge. Shhhh..., no names.
:)
A most interesting theme and I’ve really enjoyed everyone’s interpretation.
Here’s my first entree: “Land Ho!”
Content used:
HMS Victory by Dreamscape-Creations
A variant of Hero’s Advanced Layered Skies. HDRI a PS blend of the included HDRI and his Real Moon Rendered Volumetric Clouds.
Illuminated by the Bryce sun and IBL.
Rendered at 64 RPP with True Ambience enabled - a little over 4 hours to render.
Thanks for looking!
mtnmen : Thanks. I like your interpretation of the subject, just let's hope this never ever happens !
StuartB : Well done, great choice of colours.
ed3D : Nice background and great modeling of the stargate.
Dan Whiteside : superb render !
@ mtnmen: catastrophic scenario. Dr. Strangelove comes to mind.
@ StuartB: Daliesque
@ ed3D: nicely textured stairway
@ Dan Whiteside: fantastic sky
StuartB - wow, that's sort of a creepy one. Superb idea and excellently done.
ed3D - oh, that's a cool idea to use the stairs. Very cool.
Dan - great scene and very nice colours.
Mtnmen- Nice interpretation of the theme.
StuartB- very nicely done, a bit on the scary side
ed3D - an unusual idea, nice way to use the stairs
Dan Whiteside - awesome render
@ Dan Whiteside: Wonderful! Like a painting.
ed3D: Great stargate render!
Dan: Fantastic sky and great light. Only thing I am not so sure of, is the texture of the land. Looks plain grey. Maybe add another texture?
well, guess it does kind of look like an Star Gate __which is alright
drachenlords, adbc, Henryhor, Horo, mermaid010, Hansmar: Thanks Very Much
Dan Whiteside: quite well done _good job
My third entry.
Title: Omni Horizon - The horizon always surrounds us.
Great sky, Dan.
Horo...always the advanced - we've so much to learn by you.
Jay
@ Horo: Big Horizon is watching you (makes me think of an eye, probably very old...)
Seemingly the 2001 movie wormed-in its way....the below is titled 'Monolith'
Jay
Horo - wow superb render, it's awesome
Jay - love the effect, simple yet beautiful.
Ed3D...looks like you're heading to a 'Stargate' theme - best.
Mermaid & Horo...cheers will have, at some stage, to stop looking at old repeat movies
Jay
Jamahoney - thank you Jay. The Monolith looks awesome. Why stop looking at old movies? For the last 4 or 5 years I've been reading books I'd bought in the 70ies and 80ies. It's interesting to compare the remembered impression and the new one after having grown less young.
Henryhor - thank you. Horizon's watching you, cool idea. I had rather in mind that you'll always hit the horizon eventually, no matter how far you go.
mermaid - thank you.
Horo...so true - would 'old is the now new' be suitable (Nike, Budweisor etc., get me for copyright use).
Jay
